Hope I’m wrong

Seriously, if this was 2015 and Malthouse was coaching, Nick Graham would still be playing 2s this week.

Thinking today that the forward line would go small, thought McGovern might go forward, but considering our injuries I feel the forward line will function quite well. Our season is still alive...another week means another performance...hopefully a good one. GO BLUES!!!!

I think Durdin will be the sub and Moir, Wilson and Akuei will be emergencies.

Sources: Ashton Moir to make his AFL debut this weekend against West Coast. Moir will be in the 23, heavy forecasted rain expected in Perth & the Wallabies vs South Africa rugby game on Saturday night is expected to leave the Optus Stadium surface suited to a small, fast lineup.

Sources: Alex Mirkov, Rob Monahan & Domanic Akuei are the three Carlton AFL listed players who will play VFL this weekend - they are not included in the 26 man squad on the flight to Perth.

You can't Win a Game of Footy by playing all Smalls in attack! McGovern will have a picnic down back, unless he is joined by his brother to at least give us a Target to kick to.

The Predictable Carlton/Voss means that Young will once again start at FF and he will be useless as. Come on Voss, Surprise us all and make one unpredictable move for the year that might unsettle the opposition and win it for us!

We have a midfield good enough to get the job done... it's all about how we get our goals

With the pressure of finals off... I'm looking forward to this game

I would have had Wilson and Lemmey ahead of Moir. Wilson is harder at the ball for wet conditions and we need Lemmey height in the fwd line and as backup ruck.

I hope Moir proves me wrong.

Looking at the team sheet you suspect kennedy has been charged with ensuring the forward line is not complete faeces. I think that's actually a good thing Hopeully they don't decide to pull a swifty on match day

If the ball is wet and the forwards are small, you adjust

Soccer the ball off the ground and gain territory whenever possible, punch the ball forward whenever you can, if you're kicking I50 and it's high, play as though you are a defender and spoil/harass the oppo's defenders, bring ball to ground, play in front, lower eyes so no high dump kicks etc

Had a dream we win this by 30.

Final scored were 210 to 180, so extremely likely :donk:

I reckon Kemp plays forward and will do well.

With Young, Weitering, Gov and Kemp all picked to play backline, I think one of those will be a forward target.

Young can play lockdown role in backline.
Someone has to give Pitto a chop out. Young can play ruck too.

Looks like Kennedy may be swapping with Cripps as a Forward target

Young may be useful as a KPF now that he doesn't have to stay out of Charlie and Harry's leading lane.

Looks like Young is an important player for us this week.
I expect him to play a key role if we are to win.

I like the fact we know we have 23 fit players playing this week.

18 vs 18 on the ground. That sounds like a fair fight.

I expect our midfield to respond this week.
Our 2024 campaign is on the line.

23? I'm not convinced about Walsh, Gov and Pitto for starters.

Definitely Walsh and Pitto are a concern, reckon they’re both playing sore , a little disconcerted and frustrated too , Gov sort of gets by with a few flashy episodes, all in all just a brick in the wall.
