Loved how Owies held the jumper up. No doubt it was directed at Touhy in my eyes !!

Touhy - hate that bloke the way he carries on against us. I mean, we bought him into the league, show some respect mate !!

Great win. Happy that we smacked Geelong, not even the umpires giving them 2 outright free goals had a big impact. Probably the best Carlton games I have seen in the last 15 years. I can't point to a player and say they had a bad game which is great. Go Blues!

Flicking around some oppo boards on BF.

"If our forward got the frees Curnow and McKay did they'd kick 100"

"The umpires look after Carlton so much"

"Why are Carlton wearing orange they look like GWS"

"Richmond will beat Carlton next week"

Our 2 for nails games were great to watch but they definitely weren't complete performances like last night. That was as ferocious a pressure and tackling effort I've seen in navy blue for many many years.

That's what Collingwood did to us and we lost by a point.

We are in this up to our proverbials.

A complete performance last night. Our pressure and tackling was manic and Geelong felt it all night. A good defensive performance, coupled with midfield dominance and efficiency up forward. A number of star performances but also a fairly even contribution across the board.

TDK was phenomenal - he’s basically an extra midfielder for us getting 25 touches per week as a solo ruck.
Cripps dominant in the middle. Walsh not far behind. Kennedy’s best game in a month.
Charlie and Harry kicking 8 between them.
Cinc quelling Stewart and kicking 2 himself.
Weitering completely dominating against Hawkins.

A statement performance.

Elijah had 9 score involvements from 21 touches. He is the link between the midfield and forward line we’ve been missing

Pros:

Another very, very mature performance. Dominated the opposition and put it on the scoreboard.
Tackling and pressure.
Ball movement and forward efficiency.
Spread of goalkickers.
Midfield masterclass. TDK and Cripps the standouts. But Walsh and Kennedy not far behind. And Hewett had a slashing second quarter.
Charlie, Newman, Weiters, Owies, Harry.
Cincotta did a great job again.
Best game I've seen from Cowan. Shut Miers out.
Thought Oli did some terrific defensive work.

Cons:

Inaccuracy in the 3rd quarter.
Fantasia's goalkicking. He looks like he can only kick the ball 35 metres these days.
Dangerfield's recklessness. He's a serial offender when it comes to injuring or risking injury to opposition players.
Booing Tuohy. Should've been booing Dangerfield.
Richo continually bleating about Carlton frees. And then 'crickets' when Geelong benefitted. Hey Richo, the free kick count was 16-22 Geelong's way!

@#$%&! Tuohy. I always liked him but the over celebrating last game did it for me. He can river dance all the way back down the highway to that shitty crack den of a town he calls home. I reckon owies had a right crack at him after he pinned him HTB and kicked a goal. Grabbed the monogram and pointed at it. I’m sure he was staring at Tuohy when he did it

I don’t know about that, the cats looked after him and we did not, he didn’t want to leave. We basically forced him out home and they gave him a home. I can see why he’s grateful to the cats. I’m still pissed that we forced him out myself.

Enjoy.

My 100% belief is it will be the bottom 6 in any team we field, who will decide the outcome.

You're right & I don't hate Zac. But my god he was over the top with his goal celebrations when we first played them this year. I couldn't just forget it

Happy Saturday all.
I am just watching the replay now.
What an amazing effort last night, best we have played for a long time.
We seem to be moving the ball quicker now and tackling hard.
TDK is one of the best players in the comp right now, need to sign him up long term if we can.
Loving the fact that our lesser name players have really stepped up.
Well done to Cowan on kicking his first goal.
Wonderful night at the footy.
Go Blues.

Nup I’m not having it. I was always on that side of the fence until that last game. The clubs list management team forced him out, not the Carlton supporter base. We embraced him when he first came to Australia and none of us wanted him to leave, but he rubbed our noses in it that day so @#$%&! him and his shitty tattoos. It’s not hard to show a bit of class. It’s not lost on the players either. Owies clearly took the chance to give him one back

Sums up my view, we pretty much pushed him out the door and I thought at the time it was a bad mistake and time has proven that right. Didn't like the over the top celebrations last time but understand them. Consider Glenn Manton, he hated the Bombers for dumping him and made it clear and we loved him for it. Putting my navy blue tinted glasses for a moment, Zac has a right to feel hard done by. And like Manton he has a premiership to enjoy, and isn't success the best revenge?

okay so mum died on Tuesday (97) and she was the reason we all barrack for the Bluebaggers. Dad came across from Tassie and chose Carlton cos he realised if he didn't he'd be in strife with mum (the rest of his family chose The Filth).
So ta lads, club, all and sundry - it as a tonic for this old heart of mine.

So ferocious, so committed, so much belief. Voss has imprinted his DNA onto this side. Others may make the plans, work out the tactics etc, but its his DNA that is shining through!
