Bad terminology from me, replace login for register for the ballot.

But it was good to learn that I can register at any time in my window, and that there's no beenfit for doing so right on 1pm.

No worries. At least we are given a reasonable amount of time to register in.

Priority 3 here. Paying the price for lapsing in 2007. Can only assume young kids and 1 more year of Pago Pago was to blame.
Already thinks of plans b,c and d if needed. If I can jag one I’ll make sure the lad gets in as I at least have 1995…..

If the GF is us and GWS does that mean more CFC members will get a chance at tickets - does any unused allocation go back up for grabs?

Got an MCC seat through. Seems early...

But I'll take it.

Good man. I hope you snag one.

I'm on a waiting list for priority 1 (not long to go), and have priority 2.

I'm only thinking about my lads too, and I've seen GF's since 1968.

So, I've got a GF gig at my place on GF day.
Blue Pool. Blue lagoons. Blue cake. Carlton insignia. Blue Balloons.
6 TV's on 3 floors .
Sadly though, I'm not going. First one I miss. Twist my arm.

agreed, lets win this week.

but i have put my name into the ballot (Priority 1)

Its abit of a gip to be honest ...

$5.50 per person to register .. lets say 50k carlton, pies supporters, 20k lions, 10k gws = 130k pre register = $715,000 for doing @#$%&! all to be honest. it actually gives me the shits that, not only they do this, but its allowed to happen. its nothing other than a money grab FFS!!

Sounds like Disneyland.
I'm tempted to go there as well.

Yep, @#$%&! joke.

And those who get through aren't even able to choose their categories for seats either!

Yeah the $5.50 charge is ridiculous. You should at least be able to nominate some categories too.

In the ballot, priority 1.

As an aside, Ticketek/Ticketmaster are scummy companies.

So does this mean they can allocate us $500 tickets pp ? How does it work?

Of course i would pay that for a Carlton grandfinal, but for some people that will be a lot.

Yes - you could end up with Category 1 which is $450 a pop, or Category 7 which is around $180.

If your payment fails, you give up your tickets.

It's a brutal system.

Yes, I was panicking a bit as I did not tick the option for TicketTek to save my credit card details and thought they would not be able to charge me automatically on Saturday night if I get tickets allocated, but then I guess that is what the $5.50 charge is for and they will use the same details for the actual tickets if successful. Does anyone have any insight on this?

I managed to get in for two Priority One entries in the GF ballot for my daughter an I, I'm glad I added this option to our interstate membership at the start of this year, but it seemed unlikely at the time!

I called the club this morning on that exact same point just to be sure. The information they provided me was whichever card you use to purchase the ballot entry (which would have been charged the admin fee this morning) is apparently the card that will be charged automatically if we beat the lions.

Thanks for that! I was planning to call the club myself to clarification.

Something jumped out to me in the club email.

"While the club would like to provide access to all 95,277 of its valued members....the competing teams' Grand Final ticketing allocation from the AFL is 17,000 for each competing club"

I knew the AFL sold off a lot of tickets to the GF to non-fans/corporates/etc, but holy cow! 2/3rds of the crowd are non-members! Ridiculous.

I remember the early 80’s working in Collins st…
my boss was chasing tickets to the GF every year…!

he didn’t go to one game all year…but needed to be
seen at the GF…always has been a tad wanky…!

I agree!

I went to the 1983 GF, stood in the Olympic Stand, and unsurprisingly there were a few wankers there that day.

Yep, and am I right in thinking that all P1 members who register WILL get a ticket. So I guess that means we have fewer than 17,000 P1 members???

It would be interesting to get the breakdown by numbers of our 95K members into P1, P2, P3 and DNQ.
