Maynard the preemptive enforcer makes another careless hit on a Melbourne mid, Brayshaw this time. Left the ground as usual, which means he can't control his momentum at all. Like Neal-Bullen last season, Brayshaw wouldnt have had time to avoid even if he wanted to.

Had a huge argument with a Pies supporter (now ex-friend) about him leaving the ground and smacking Neal-Bullen in the head with his shoulder last season. Also dragged him to the ground and slammed NB's head into the turf. Dunno how he gets away with it give the 3 weeks handed down to Boyd and many other AFL players this year.

And of course he's in no way remorseful and is in the face of the Demons remonstrating with him. Dog acts disguised as tough footy are his M.O.

Not for me. He attacked a smother, admirably, and when he realised that he missed he did everything possible to minimise contact.

He jumped at 45º towards Brayshaw. Sure he tries to avoid, but so do idiots who veer the car across the double lines while reading their phone SMS. Does he get BOTD because he's thick?

Dow or Motlop as sub.

I agree with this.
Even Voss in the presser said Pitto is in and Acres is available….

Don’t like the Marchbank in at all. That’s 4 tallish defenders, that leaves little option.

Feels like earlier in the year. If we bomb the ball in long we’ll get killed on the rebound

With the two big rucks I’d like to see a bit more outside run.

I know Hollands gets knocked around a bit but his ability to cover so much ground has really helped us.

Seeing how the conditions have stood up tonight I think we are a bit too big

Having said that contested ball is our strength and Swans weakness.

He's too light.
He'd have been knocked off the ball all night tonight.

I'd prefer Boyd, but that depends on match ups of course.

Yep.
And it will be needed if we want to play our contested brand.

Voss and MC have gone with their favourites imo, rather then getting the balance right.

two rucks and a bunch of talls when the ball will be on the deck all of the night? Hope i'm wrong but this has disaster written all over it.

they must think they can muscle the swans out of the contest, or there are going to be late changes. thats some very quick players dropped

marchy is strange when the swans dont have an overly tall forward line

When McDonald, Amartey and McLean are all down there, we might be thankful to have 3 bigger defenders. When only 2 are forward, we might be looking at Marchbank and McGovern going against Hayward and Heeney.

Cold tomorrow but not much rain. Conditions will be fine.

Lack of leg speed and run a concern. Hollands Dow & Motlop would be very handy

I am also worried about our lack of leg speed.
If it is slippery tomorrow night we will go into the game too top heavy.

I'm confused to how Hollands is seen as having leg speed, great endurance but definitely doesn't have leg speed.
Dow has great explosion as too Motlop.
But we have Martin, Cunningham, Cottrell and Fogarty for speed also.

Sure has
No surprises there

Best team selected this far this season year imo
Thank you Andrew Russell
Hollands for sub to top it off
Very happy indeed.

Bring it on.
Bring your best voice Baggers

I’m at a function with plenty of Swans royalty
I’m loving it.
They aren’t super confident.
They acknowledge Carlton have an amazing midfield and a great spine.
Also many spewing Hewett is in Navy Blue.

Like I thought it was Fog or Motlop. Leaned towards Motlop for goals but Fog had been immense.
Fog came into the team to replace Motlop…and the trend continues with almost a full list.
CK must be happy.

Well done Marchy Cunners Cincotta. Coach has seen enough to know they belong; well done and good luck.

Pluck a duck.

Go Blues.

After watching Collingwood vs Melb I’m again worried 2 rucks is a massive mistake. Terrified we’re going to get burned on the outside with run and spread

Dont really get Marchbank selection given how jittery he has been with disposal and decision making since he returned
Cant afgord tge panic moments that we saw against Dees or Aolints
Motlop or Dow much better choice in my view in the team

Collingwood played Cox and Cameron.

And both sides paid another one to sit in the stands not to play.

2 rucks won despite Gawn probably playing the best game by a ruckman all year.
And with all due respect to TDK and Pitto they are not Gawn.
Pies had plenty of run but they were all shit.
Daicos Pendle Elliot Mcclerry all rubbish
You can throw in Degoey as well.
There talls kicked 4 of their 9 goals .Mcstay staying forward and clunking a couple and Cameron and if Miochek had of kicked straight could have been more.

Van Royen who was relief ruck didn't hit the scoreboard

SB. Agree, also Dees had 32, thats right 32 more inside 50s than the wobbles, at least 3 OOB in the last ( that I saw) and 3 more scoring shots.

So, seriously, I was hoping wobbles would go out in straight sets. BUT, they were just "less" shit than the dees.

I reckon McRae would be seething on that showing, and so he shoud be.
