New version for me (bit less generous to Saints and others based on declining performance):

We win narrowly against GWS to knock them out by percentage to Adelaide (surprised me) and claim 7th. Beating either of Melbourne or Collingfilth but not both (then end up 5th, forget the top 4) can make the difference between playing an elimination at the G (finishing 6th) or the cattery (no?). Adelaide, GWS, Essendrug all separated by percentage, as well as St K if they beat Richmond (tipping a close one there).

We upset the filth in a prelim, coming from behind, no less (a la 1945 - look to '45, I say) and flog Brizzie (or Port - who cares?) in the GF.

I can dream.

Love it Fenwick

BTW I wouldn't worry about us playing a final at the cattery, AFL wouldn't be having a bar of that

Port at Marvel - they've gotta lose at some point right?

Eagles at Marvel - lol well.

Filth at the G - can't see it happening. Edit - If it bleeds, etc.

Saints at Marvel - they are gettable. they're bog @#$%&! average

Melb at the G - see above, especially if they're having one of their semi-regular stinker games. I don't rate them much

GCS at GC - we usually suck up there, but if they're out of finals contention they might have shut up shop. looking likely they're done

Giants at Marvel - this could be the decider!! yep
Port - tick
Eagles - tick

FILTH - BIG @#$%&! TICK

4th is possible.

If we win every game, Melbourne lose to us and then lose two of Richmond, Hawthorn, Sydney in Sydney, we’ll overtake them for 4th.

Highly unlikely but not impossible.

Ok... I might be getting a little ahead of myself here. But does anyone recall the Brisbane 2001 season?

Meandering along. Got annihilated at Princes Park and Kouta bent a certain future carlton coach over. There's a common denominator here. M Voss knows.

The dipshits in the media are predicting the wrong dynasty

I have believed we would make Finals since before this (tommi's) thread was launched.

I really thought (with blue tinted glasses on, and belief in this list) we'd be undefeated for the rest of the season since that Hawks game, when it confirmed we had changed our game, big time.

With a bit of luck, we could end up 4th, but the advantage of finishing 5th is too good to not go for...and you know, I think the boys are.

Indeed. 4th should def. be the target.

If Rich can upset Melbourne (who are shite 'pretenders' just like Colliwobble) and Sydney also take care of them in the last round at SCG we get to play the filth again in first final.

As of next week we resume winning by 50 pts again...

Yeah, two great results for Blues today. Footscray losing very useful coz they've got a pretty easy run home.

It's a very even competition.

Soooo.....

"MATHEMATICALLY SPEAKING"....

With all these underdog results, now GC over BL, let's go fantasy land.
Suddenly not only is 4th open but Brisbane's 3rd spot is a chance.

Double-chance at the double-chance? Yessireeee!

AND - It is still possible for Blues to reach 2ND SPOT!

:smoking:

We can reach 58 pts, Port is presently 56.

Yup, Adelaide over PA tonight would keep that alive.

Go Crows!

Hopefully, they've got the new coach boost out of their system now. :P

Lions talls defenders are not Weitering, Gov, Marchbank and Kemp.

Cripps is hungrier than ever.

Lets hope Dow lifts for 4 quarters and so far he has accumulated when on the ground.

Doc, Hewett...we should be fine.
