From Q2 23’ to FT…

Carlton
19 shots, 4 goals, 10 kicked behinds, 5 no scores, 21% goal accuracy

St. Kilda
12 shots, 7 goals, 3 kicked behinds, 2 no scores, 58% goal accuracy

Very helpful. Thank you :banghead:
That makes us feel better.

Beaten in I50s and clearances.

Bad kicking is bad football.
I say bit again bec it's so important
Curnow is a poor set shot drop punt kick. Needs to work on this big time. Happens most weeks.

But anyhow we have now been beaten at the source 4 of the last 5 games

We simply aren't as good as many think we are

Developing yes

But nowhere near the finished product

Weitering in the pre game talked about how well our defence had done without him- 2 and 2. Now 2 and 3. That’s when i knew we would lose as that attitude ain’t ruthless. Until we get that “Peter Dean” take no prisoners mindset, we go nowhere.

Too many one sided players. H no right foot. Saad no right foot. Walsh no left foot. LOB no right foot. Fish at least starting to kick on his right a bit. JSOS tonight no right foot or left foot. Not sure TDK has a right foot and his left is pretty embarrassing.

Geez I love Saad. Doesn’t need a right foot. Almost never makes a mistake. Makes something out of nothing. Smart smart footballer. So happy to have him.

Wonder if that cauliflower gets sighted for that head high hit

Can someone explain to me why when has a mark/free kick and so much as leans sideways they're called to play on.
Yet when a player marks within goal kicking distance and tries to sneak off to the side a couple of metres to cut the angle, the ump says get back on your mark? Shouldn't that immediately be called play on too?

Chardonnay Football.
Out coached.
Out played.
Those missed shots are a dagger to the team's heart.
At the start of the year all I wanted was a team that was competitive. Now I want more.
The Saints nearly always looked like they had our number tonight.
Onto next week.

Of course you’re right. Seems to be common in the modern generation of players. Failure of parenting when they were growing up I think. Who didn’t learn to kick well with their opposite foot as a kid when we were growing up. Remember Diesel Williams taking a set shot from 40 Heatley Stand end at Princes Park one day and kicking it with his left. Just did it

YES.

But don't get me started.

Couldn't buy a goal then Membrey kicks one over his head, just summed up our night really.

Those 2 late ones they got at the end of the 3rd were crucial. Just got pantsed by a team with injuries on the night. Uuuugh.

If we still awarded the Moran, I reckon membrey would have won it a record number of times.
Some may rate him buy I don't think he's much good except against us.
