I’m not sure there are players in the VFL who are capable of improving in that area.
The solution lies in getting back to the hunter mentality we have brought for most of the year.

Could it be training loads? I note Melbourne lost 3 in a row with their mids a little down on their usual input but they all returned their usual numbers last night. Viney probably better than his usual numbers.
We do have the "best in the business" after all.

Setters as sub I reckon. VFL game at Ikon Park at 5.05pm that day so quick tram trip for opening bounce if not needed in main game.

I agree. I suspect we've been worked out in the middle.
Also as much as TDK has tried he isn't a top class ruckman yet, and we obviously miss Pitto.

I think that is the key. His big body around the ball parting packs to make way for Crippa et al. TDK just doesn't have the same presence around the ball and I feel we will similarly struggle at centre clearances this week as a result.

That has crossed my mind,.
Mid year.
Most of ours seem off the boil : Hewett, Cripps, Kennedy ... Walsh is the opposite but he's a freak

I’d be pretty surprised if Taberner doesn’t play, despite the chat earlier this week. Can’t see the logic in flying a bloke who is close to 30 with a history of soft tissue injuries over to Melbourne and back to sit in the coaches box when he could be getting another game under his belt in the WAFL. He’ll play to stretch our defence and it makes sense from there perspective.

Agreed.

It is to do with intent ... but selectors have a role too. You need support/alternatives if players are not performing. Dow should be on the interchange.

Well he played against Pies and the coach didn't exactly crack a barney over his performance when asked in the presser. Granted it was his first game but even still.

Just bitter as we wouldnt entertain his arrogant approach to being our coach

Still bitter and twisted about missing out on the coaching gig.

Just another example of Ross having NFI and continuing to be the most irrelevant commentator in the media alongside Kane Cornes.....

hey Guys, need a bit of your help & Advice please

Tomorrow will be my first Game Attending a Carlton Game since pre-Covid days. A lot has changed since and i am struggling to understand what we are meant to do.

I was told that at Marvel, you can only Enter the Venue by purchasing a ticket via Ticketmaster. However, when I try to get one, it tells me only General admission tickets can be bought....

So my Question is: Does anyone know if General admission at Marvel for tomorrow's game includes Level 1 areas such as behind the Goals? or is it only Level 3 top as it used to be in the old days?

Not sure Dodo... But I'm guessing any walk up ticket is GA and straight to level 3....if you reserve a seat, you can probably reserve it anywhere..... at a price.

I'm AFL (Carlton) member and just walk up, scan in with the AFL ap/mobile phone usually and straight up to level 3.

I have reserved seats for some Marvel games (extra $$) this year and had really good ones almost behind the bench....
Good luck!

Go Blues

This game is massive today. We must win it, what I would call a statement game, confirm that we belong in the finals.

Outside of Adelaide, we don’t have an easy game to collect pts in the run home.

I’m expecting a huge response from this group, just hope we deliver. We haven’t lost any of the 4 games I’ve been too live.

Another line-in-the-sand, season-defining, must-win, eight-point game. What's not to love?
I'm feeling realistically optimistic
Go Blues!
