Both missing from today's Practise Game vs Saints at Ikon.

An update for blues fans on Curnow.

I’m told his knee is all good, but my source indicates he’ll miss a week.

I don’t think there is anything structural etc

From this article:

Carlton forward Charlie Curnow remains in the frame to line up against Melbourne on Thursday night, having dodged a potentially major injury in a practice match.

Curnow limped from the field late in a seven-point win over St Kilda, having aggravated his troublesome knee. The Blues said post match there were no major issues, with initial reports that he had jarred the knee.

The Blues said on Friday the athletic tall had not required scans and could yet face the Demons in the opening AAMI Community Series clash at Marvel Stadium.

The level of distrust I have in our club being honest about injuries has me thinking Charlie will miss most of the season.

His knee is "all good".......but he'll miss a week.
Perhaps he's going for a golf trip? Cribbage tournament? Tupperware convention?
Perhaps Toms "sources" could follow it up.

2/3/22 update:
https://www.carltonfc.com.au/news/1070376

Harry, TDK, Plowman & Martin named to play in tomorrow’s preseason game vs Melbourne.

Kemp (calf), Charlie & Weitering (rested) not playing.

Docherty & Carroll set to return via VFL practice match.

I hope Harry is genuinely ready to play and that we’re not risking him just because Charlie & Kemp are out.

Cerra did his syndesmosis and was helped from the ground, hobbling, against The Crows on Round 5 Sunday April 18. He returned to play in Round 9 on Sunday May 16.

He was running in full training the week before he played.

Quote:
Fremantle have copped another serious injury blow with news that midfielder Adam Cerra will miss about a month of football after scans confirmed an ankle syndesmosis injury.

The injury is at the lower and of seriousness for a syndesmosis, but Cerra will miss three to four games.

That will put him on the sidelines for Fremantle’s Optus Stadium matches against North Melbourne, West Coast and Brisbane and in doubt for the clash with Essendon* at Marvel Stadium in round nine.

The Dockers hoped Cerra had dodged serious injury after getting the ankle caught underneath his body in a tackle in the first quarter of the Dockers’ 12-point win against Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

Walsh did his syndesmosis, on and was operated on Tuesday 15th February. He played throughout the game with not too much discomfort, only found out about injury after scans.

Quote:
“He was able to carry on and finish off the session, but scans revealed that syndesmosis injury, which can take a bit of time. It was really disappointing, unfortunately.

“He’s unbelievably resilient, but pretty disappointing.

Sam has been walking on his ankle for the last week and a bit. Was jogging yesterday. Full Training on ankle started today. He was super fit prior to the injury.

Can Walsh get back for round 1? Ask Sam Walsh. He says he's aiming for Round 1.

Deliberate.

I learned that style from Herald Sun and News cohorts.

You must have liked how the story unfolded and ended...well, we don't know how it ends till team selection on Wednesday.

Looks like Andrew Russell is concentrating on doing his job instead of trying to be a media megastar.

15/3/22 update - no new injuries reported.

Stocker 2-3 weeks away.

No timeframe for Walsh provided, but reported as progressing well.
