Both. But increased membership is based on planning new ways to build it.

No coincidence Richmond increased with Liddle running the membership show.

Outstanding achievement for the club anyway. Has been a noose around our neck for far too long.

I remember Black Friday (if we can say that anymore), Collo was going to had the keys in not long after.

I wonder how much of the debt reduction is down to good financial management and how much is due to increased membership?

If only Carlton could become debt free I’m sure it would make a great news story……

Accounting standards changed in 2019 to show leases - Carltons at Princes Park for example - as a liability.

Quote:
Effective now – from 1 January 2019, the new leases standard – AASB 16 (IFRS 16) – requires companies to bring the majority of operating leases on-balance sheet. Property and equipment leases previously recognised off-balance sheet will be accounted for as a right-of-use (ROU) asset and lease liability which will bring more transparency about a company’s lease commitments and change key financial metrics such as gearing ratios, asset turnover and EBITDA. Lessor accounting will be largely unchanged from the current leases standard, AASB 117 (IAS 17).

If there were a wave of concussion law suits, does anyone know we have that at a separate liability structure AFLW to the "traditional" men's club, or maybe does any the AFL insurance indemnify us, or would that be a potential risk to the club (all clubs) in the current structure?

We are the most Profitable Club in the AFL. We are also the number one Marketing Stunt Club of the AFL....We are the most Successful Business of any Sporting organisations in Australia!

We are Everything but a Footy Club. The Pokies alone bring us a profit enough to Build a new Staduim. The Club is run by very susscessful bussiness Board members, but they are not Football people. This is where all the Problems of Carlton are!

It's astonishing that Carlton Fans have not yet realised that in the last 25 years, our Club has been Hijacked by people who have turned this club into a Money making Machine whilst totally Neglecting the Football side of things.

Have members not noticed how heavily the club is invested in Marketing Stunts? This is done on Purpose to cover the Failures of the football club on the Field.

Orange Day, Pink Day, Indigenous day. Multicultral day, Rainbow day and the list goes on and on.....

Further more, those board members have used the Coach as a scapegoat to continue to run the club as a business. Sacking Coaches and pretending to make a new Start was nothing but a Marketing Stunt to decieve members into thinking We are making Serious changes.

For Legal reasons, I can not name indiviuals, but if the new CEO is serious about turning this club around, he needs to Sack all of the current BOARD Members. I mean all of them. They have hijacked this club and made it their own. They are profiting directly from it and they have ZERO Care for our on field performances.

If this does not happen, I can assure you, nothing will change. We will Sack VOSS and bring another whilst the drama continues and we will be back in 5 years time saying the same things!

Its Time for the Carlton football Club to be what it was intended for. A Footy Club whose's aim is to win Priemierships, not a Business.
