Think I prefer Lyon. At the very least he should have a reasonable understanding of how Carlton 'rolls'.

I voted Ross Lyon but am now in this tossers camp.

I saw the result of Hawks vs Footscray, and thought along the same lines.

Then we cut to the President saying mission accomplished and happy hour in the board room.

Just need a coach with the political savvy to stand up to the board. Hope it's a repeat of taking Parkin from the Hawks. Even he got the sack before we brought him back.

Money and ego will drive his decision. We obviously want the ego to be more important to him than the dollars

Alaistar Clarkson talked of the coaching group being the important factor, having the right team around you, rather than just being a stand alone coach. He was quite revealing and amusing, crediting his wife with telling him to have the right people to have on his coaching roster. Gerard Whateley said at the end of the interview, that we'll see you as a coach again. So how did Clarko react? Said he understood what Teague was going through, having been in the same position at Hawthorn after a couple of years when the board stuck fat with him. Talked about rebuilding Hawthorn as the family club and understanding the club's culture when he arrived at Hawthorn. WHAT WOULD HE MAKE OF CARLTON'S CULTURE? Interesting piece, showed the real character of the man. My impression? An intellectual angry ant with a lot of drive who understands psychology and motivation. Is he able to start again immediately or needs a year out of football?

Ah. Fair enough.

It's OK to wish him well and also be happy that he's not on TV I suppose though.

Great summary. My thoughts exactly. I would have run him over for what he did at the oval.

Fun fact: I had never ever heard the phrase "stuck fat" until Wayne Brittain said it.

Anyone else?

This is exactly what we need. I hope it's Ross.

Me either.
Seems to be a fairly universal footy term now.
But it doesn’t make sense and is kinda … weird.

Ross thrives on club politics . Master of club politics . Don't worry , Ross knows how to use that sorta stuff . If anything it fires him up , it feeds him .

That's why I like him. He's experienced , passionate and a great communicator. I think it's a given he gets through to his chargers and that's a major reason he is successful.

And then the other part is his intellect which enables him to be tactically astute
