I don’t think Jones is a good option as second ruck as he would spend most of his time in the fwd line where he will contribute very little compared to what he contributes as a key defender. As a backup ruckman he’s ok, but only he he plays in defence while not rucking.

Jones a good back up ruckman but yes once he has done it play back in defence
Otherwise Kennedy or JSOS

Fair points, though it means we need to replace him down back for that period - perhaps JSOS?

Agree Liam Jone’s primary position is defense no disputing that, however if required he can play supporting Ruckman too. It’s not a strategic master stroke just obvious given our player disposition this week.

As I said above, it’s not his ability to pinch hit in the Ruck I am questioning, it’s where does he play while TDK is rucking. I imagine it would be quite disruptive to our defence setup to have him swapping in and out, and he adds little value in the fwd line.

Actually as I typed that I realised we have no defensive structure, so what the hell, have him rest in defence while not rucking.

Saw the wiggonian at the footy with his kids supporting Carlton and he did touch that kick for goal by Riccardi

Yes Eddie was our chf and prior to that Molly Meldrum (Paul) played chf when we had no good talls

Oh hurrah. 5 players badly out of form and wont contribute much at all. Add murphy and docherty to that list and we will be carrying 7 players into this game that wont contribute their fair share. I hope plowman turns up to play.
As long as we can keep ticking off the all important personal milestones its all good at this club..... Time to start thinking about winning football matches instead of these milestones and symbolic garbage events

I expect there to be a minimum 22 tackles at 1/4 time. 1 each is not alot to ask for.

There first one to not put his head over the ball or shirk a contest gets dragged to the pine for 10 mins.

If the playing group honestly has any desire to keep Teague in situ, then they must display a 'Take no prisoners' attitude.

That first Crows player to get his hands on the ball need to be buried. I don't care if he gets a free and a 50, we need to show brutal intent that, enough is enough. If that doesn't happen then Teague might as well drive back to ICON and empty his desk at days end.

Sorry Teaguey but 23 players will really show us all what they think of you today. They are your Judge and Jury.

Regards Cazzesman

The Adelaide players will be fighting over who gets to play on murphy and sps. It will be an easy day for whoever draws those straws.
Murphy is a galaxy far far away from being an all time carlton legend. Hes done SFA in a team thats been crap his whole career, which maybee made him look better than he is (to some).
I dont even think Carlton 1st's could beat a well coached VFL team at this point
Adelaide by 6 goals.

And the crows will also be hanging out to play on the doc and Williams !!

Geez if we win tomorrow it will be fair effort considering how many players we are carrying , and the crows were the wooden spooners of last year and are now above us this year

Yeah. We have huge holes from one half back, both wings, and one half forward. Probably why the opposition can give such good delivery to their forwards compared to our crap bomb ins under (percieved) pressure..
Adelaide have more determination than is, especially in front of their home crowd.

The holes, gaps and deficiencies in our side are all mental. Give Carlton a quality coaching team and watch those holes, gaps and deficiences clear up overnight. I'm 100% convinced

Agree in theory, would love it to happen but won't happen..we all know that

I think they showed us last week what they think of Teague Cazz??...review announced, Barker resigns and spotlight on Teague...that game was appalling

A repeat of last weeks effort and the blowtorch of this week on the players will turn into a full on furnace. IF they have any pride at all in themselves and OUR club they represent then nothing short of a full 4 quarter effort will be acceptable. The players must be demanding of each other for non performance. Look there teammates in the eye and tell them that’s not good enough, don’t care if Crippa or anyone else. This shit of slack attitude MUST stop as of today.
