The big test for Harry will be when he has to walk around Myer.

Anyone know why we haven’t seen Corey Durdon yet?

That’s a test for anyone.

Dreadful business.

How do you think our midfield stacks up against other teams?
I have Crippa, Walsh, Ed and hopefully Williams plays there. Then we have Murphy, Dow, Setterfield, maybe Martin, SPS, Kennedy and who knows about Stocker, Kemp, maybe Gibbons plays there too etc...?

I think our backline stacks up well and, on paper, our forward line looks reasonably good when all are available (Harry, Curnow, McGovern, SOJ, with Martin, Fisher, Murphy, Eddie, Gibbons, Fogarty etc... at their feet).

But the mids look a bit thin, esp considering our lack of a premium ruckman.
Thoughts?

Mids need to stand up...
Almost none have.. almost...
Exclude Walsh and that becomes simply 'none have'

SPS
Cunners
Dow
LOB
Fish
Kennedy
Setters
Kemp?

All being tried in different positions and all except Kemp need to take the bull by the horns if they ever want to play mid

Go Blues!

I think the defence needs another 'defender' as opposed to a player who plays in defence and is primarily an attacking player. Someone whose sold interest is in beating his man and marshalling the defence.

No room for the captain Danny? He gets a game everyday before SPS and Willo IMHO.
Besides, as much as I'd love to, you cant have 2 Walsh's

yes got interrupted before I could change that.

Doc to the wing, Setters interchange, SPS out to go back and play midfield for a time.

Teague mentioned that against Collingwood there wasn't, to paraphrase, enough defensive accountability.
So, who on the list has a natural defensive attitude? Who manages to balance attack on the ball with laying a tackle or shutting down a man?

Forwards:
Silvagni
Fogarty
Betts
Martin

Mids:
Williams
Kennedy (in close)
Stocker (maybe?)
Walsh
Newnes
E. Curnow
Cottrell

Defenders:
Jones
Docherty
Plowman
Marchbank (maybe?)
Weitering
Newman
Parks
McDonald
Saad

C: Cottrell Cripps Philip
HF: Williams McGovern Kennedy
F: Fogarty Harry Owies
R: Pitto Curnow Walsh
Int: Ramsay SPS Cuningham Betts

Mckay rucks when Pitto needs a rest or is dropped and Casboult plays.

Surely C Curnow is ahead of Guv? Docherty on a wing would also,be ahead of Philp?

No room for Martin, Kemp or Cripps?

sorry only choosing fit players - Dock wing or HF but I'd like to see him play that in VFL first - can he play either of those roles?
