On another forum in the trivia there's a question, what is Ang Christou's proper name? Apparently it doesn't start with an Ang. It's the first I've ever heard of it. Any TCers know if this is true?

I heard it was Agro, but he changed it so he wouldn't get confused for some guy posting rants on Carlton bulletin boards mostly directed at Demetiou...

Took the kids to Ange's fish n chip in Northcote last night. I recommend it, good quality f & c's.

Ange served us at our table & although busy, still had a chat & a joke with us.

Does he look like a character out of the sopranos these days?

Supplied a PABX to Northcote Primary way back during Ang's playing days and the Principal (a staunch Collingwood supporter) had a great relationship with him as he came in and did work with the kids there.

He arranged a surprise autographed Ang poster for me which read:
"to CC, keep the calls ringing at Northcote Primary"

The Principal then apologised saying "he was supposed to write - 'keep the phones ringing' - and when I asked him why he changed it he replied...
'I didn't know how to spell phones' "

LOL

Was very touched regardless.

Thanks for the memories 39

Bloody hipster...

Would make a good barista if he had a tattoo or tattoos.

Ang was the bottle boy or delivery bot for a pharmacist as a kid. He would ride to work without even using his hands to steer bike.

I met Ang at superstars & legends in 95 after our flag for a meet & greet.

I had my 15 seconds with him and wanted to ask "what was it like when you went up to get your medal and the whole crowd was going woof woof woof?"
I got to about "what was it like when...." and he lent over to my ear and interrupted me saying "fkn sick fkn sick fkn sick!"

I was shocked but loved it of coarse. Pretty sure he was running on adrenaline and whatever else he was on...didn't look like he'd slept in days..
