Really pleased with the overall effort.

Can't nurse TDK through to another pre season though. Was out pointed time and time again.

He's had a taste, that's enough until next year.

Eddie was never going to star in these conditions, particularly with the congestion he was facing.

Thought Curnow was terrific. I've been critical of him this year but he was probably best.

Actualy, I thought TDK had a pretty good night in the ruck. Didn't do a lot around the ground
I urge you to watch again. Particular at boundary throw ins. He isn't strong enough to mark yet either. It will come though

ye gods NO!!! but i do agree, he hasnt the strength, but i thought his endeavour was superb

how the bleeding heck did we pull that out?????

even without a game plan or a coach? sorry, but ive jumped off the teague train tonight - but im still happy for the boys, and us, that we won

Teague can’t make Harry to stop missing , or newnes or give them composure when the heat is on

It’s out leaders that have to calm the situation, not Walsh and cottral ( our new heartbeat of the team )

TDK was great in the 3rd.

Thought some of the vitriol directed at Murphy again was OTT.

Great win without Martin Charlie Gov Marchbank Newman Kreuz Pitto Marchbank Dow
Good to be on the lucky side for a change
Umpiring atrocious and 2 out of first 3 Freo goals umpiring gifts
Also to be 3 goals behind at quarter time and win excellent
Needed to make them pay in the third quarter when dominated and kicked too many points

Pros:
That Newnes goal (unbelievable)
Get the win and move to 5-6 (keep our slim finals hopes alive)
Found a way to win when playing fairly average footy
Ed and Cripps whacked away all game in the middle
Walsh’s class rose to the top (found space when others couldn’t)
Plow very good late in the game
Willo’s game was rock solid (took the game on when others wouldn’t)
Cottrell showed a fair bit
Liked the first look at Honey. Didn’t impact on the night but looks a likely type. Has tricks (like the one hand pick up), speed (which we desparately need) and good size

Cons:
Very average start (down 15-4 inside 50s in the first quarter)
Will need to play much better going forward to keep winning
Eddie is really struggling
Murph’s disposal was very average tonight
Didn’t have 22 contributors on the night

I’m doing Zoom ouzo shots with my brother so I’m pretty hammered right about now - so cut me a little slack - these been a lot of these daggers in the heart.

That was insane.
I thought Walsh was outstanding. As was Ed. Just a warrior.
Cripps at times was frustrating. At times was down right bad, but geez he keeps plugging away and is just desperate to drag this club forward on his own back. I hope he starts to understand that he doesn't have to do it alone.
TDK was really important in the 2nd half.
I thought Harry kept battling even though he didn't have his best night. Snapping with a wet ball is low percentage but he got one nice one.

The bad, and there's plenty. The standard of ball use was appalling. As was the decision making on a number of times. I was losing it regularly with frustration.
The umpiring (despite the end) was just garbage again. The inconsistency between the maggots is just the worst it's ever been. Holding the ball decisions seconds apart. Same same but completely different. Argghh!
Weiters got beaten for the first time this year. Taberner is better than I gave him credit for. Strong lad and thought he had the better of Jacob. That's OK. It happens.
Eddie another really quiet game. Might be time for a spell.
Goal kicking. Again. @#$%&! me dead. Kicked ourselves out of it but for a miracle. Sort it out!

Unbelievable end to the game. I'm still shaking my head with disbelief. Felt so good to be on the right end of one for a change. Watched other teams do it for 33 years. I was excited. I was confused. It was amazing. Go Blues!

Need to know when to handball. A couple of times in defence kicked when he had men on the outside waiting for the handball.

I much prefer our game plan of not turning up for the first 1/4 and then grinding out a win by less than a goal, than the one where we start well and then have a 5 goal turn around to lose. Glad Teague decided to go back to the former tonight. ;)

I personally think that was a great game of wet weather football. We played well after the first quarter. Amazing déjà Vu.

Just got home. Holy @#$%&! shit don’t even know where to start.

Will save critiques for another time. Other than to say our midfield was poor in the first half but much, much better in the second.

Can’t even describe the emotions at the end. Utter devastation to absolute euphoria in the space of seconds.

To share that with my boy who also bleeds blue is something I will treasure forever.

Bit like against Essendon* when that last shot looked like it was home.

Seriously this team is bad for my blood pressure
