I know it's a cliche but '99 prelim as a live game for obvious reasons.

There was a game I was at in the early 90s against the Saints out at Waverley where Dototich went bananas in the second half and kicked about half a dozen to bring us back from about 5 goals down at half time. Always stuck in my memory.

And for the wrong reasons, the Hawthorn game 2009 where Fev had the chance to put us in front with minutes to go and hit the post. It was the weekend Richard Pratt died and I always felt like if we'd got up that day, it would have been the proper turning point in our fortunes.

On TV, the Adelaide game where Fev kicked it from the boundary 50 out to put us in front with less than a minute to go and the round 23 Port game to put us into 9th and, by extension, the finals in 2013

I remember all those games well. The Saints game at Waverley was the second time that season (1992) we’d come from behind to roll them. We had an equally memorable win over them at home earlier in the year when Dorotich went on to Lockett in the second half and O’Sullivan kicked a bag. There is no footage of the Waverley game unfortunately because Channel 7 were preoccupied with the Barcelona Olympics at the time.

And I agree with what you said about the Dawks game in 09. I remember being more flat than usual after that loss. In hindsight, it was good preparation for the heart breaking finals losses we were about to endure.

Apart from the horrible finish, that Hawks game was a cracking game of footy

Rd 22 1987, Waverly Park. As an AFL member, was always there for the big Carlton games.

Talk about our own version of the EPL's Super Saturday. Nip and tuck with North all day but Geelong were beating Hawthorn, and Melbourne were trying to win their way into the finals. North take the lead late thanks to some Krakouer magic, then Dunstall goes balistic and Hawks are in front and now we need to win to get the week off. A ballup on the wing, some desperate work, a Harry mongrel and there was Sticks to mark on an an angle.

Won us the 87 flag no doubt. Hawks played 4 final in a row, including the marathon against Melbourne then we copped them on a 38 degree day.

Having watched the boys since the mid '60s all the above live and all the above on TV.

Also three tmes at PP. The day the confectionary stand caught fire in the outer underneath the scoreboard and the crowd spilling on to the ground.
Jezza running back with the flight of the ball, Magro jumped mid air, collected him and Jezza left the field unconscious. Carlton 5 goals behind at half time went on to win the match.
The day Robbie Muir went beserk, clocked somebody, Dennis Collins (I think) and looked as if he was about to clock the umpire whole being reported. Great theatre.

That round 10 game against the Pies is my favourite H&A game of all time!

Over 46,000 jam packed at Princes Park and you couldn’t move and fights flared up all over the place.

2013 final was the best experience I've had live. The roar when the tigers came out was deafening, never heard it that loud at the G. We were most definitely in the minority and stuck it right up them. Remember several scuffles breaking out too amongst the Richmond ferals afterward.

GarTlett running into the open goal was the icing on the cake.

Was a magnificent day. Was jammed in between multiple rows of ferals that gave it to me all day. We kicked a couple to get back within 3 and I jumped up and gave a big mouthed couple the sshhhh motion. They kicked the next one and she gave it to me. Had the last laugh, stood up and started the song as they left. May have given a choke motion as a i lead the sons too!

Favourite H&A was the day we came back to beat the junkies. We were 47(ish) points down and Fev put on a clinic, kicking them from all over.

He was the reason to go to games back then. The most electrifying player when up and going

I have been going to the footy since the mid 70's so have seen hundreds of live games.
The ones that stand out are;
The 1979 grand final.
The 1999 prelim.
The 2013 elimination final.
Another home and away game was at PP when Malcolm Blight kicked that goal after the siren, a loss but one I will never forget.
There was a recent game against Port at Etihad, a few years back. We were about 3 goals down late in the game and won by less than a goal with Kreuzer kicking the winning goal.
Another was against Richmond when Brock Mclean kicked a goal with less than a minute to go.

Interstater (WA) perspective. Just off the top of my head.

Juddy’s first game at Subiaco 2008. Serious venom in the crowd that night. Serious venom...

Elim Final 2011. Never been more nervous before a game.

Semi Final 2011. STILL not over it.

Elim Final 2013. Had given up. Still get goosebumps watching second half.

Vs Richmond 2012 aka the Brock McLean goal game. Had come over with my son for that one and we were pissed about Juddys suspension. Being in the crowd experiencing a win like that with my boy... :smoking:

Vs Sydney 2011. Juddy....

Vs Ess late 2011. Smashed em after half time. Many many highlights incl Eddie and Walks.

Vs WCE 2014 at Etihad. Miracle comeback win. Menzel!!

1992. I've still got 3AW's call on a cassette somewhere. Dorotich took 5 marks in the third qtr!
From memory Tommy Alvin's dad died that morning and he played.
Down by a heap at half time, I nearly got king hit when we hit the lead

That is a phenomenal effort by Tommy Alvin's dad.

Been to some great games but still love the 1986 2nd semi at vfl park. What a game with two star studded sides. As a young lad living outside of Victoria- this was the ultimate. The gf result probably soured this win.
