Is that 'Headroom'?

So Tyrants, are you going to do 2004 for the Blueseum? Or should we get Synbad to cover it?

Synbad would give it his own "personal touch"

I have just inputted Round 17, 20 and the Qualifying Final from 1988. :-D More to come soon. :-D :-D

If Mr DeBolfo is contributing, would he mind much if his work from the 80s was plagarised? What's the go with that? I did my own reports based on articles I have.

I have now. :-D

Just put in some details of Round 1 1988, including the full side, but I am missing some details like goal scorers.

Great to see verbs.

WRT using others work, if direct quotes are being taken they need to be referenced, also the general rule of thumb is that no more than 10% of a piece can be directly quoted.

Also, if extensive paraphrasing is done that could be recognized as attributable to a specific author then it should also be referenced.

Very much the same referencing needs as anywhere really.

Okay, so if I wanted to use all of a DeBolfo match review, as long as it's attributed to him, it should be fine?

As for my direct quote of Wayne Johnston, it is from an unidentifiable newspaper clipping, possibly The Age. Also possibly from a Martin Blake report, though impossible for me to tell.

Not sure, we will have to contact Anthony with regards to using entire match reviews.

For the second one, it should be fine, that is Wayne Johnston's quote so it is already attributed to Wayne.

I will contact Anthony if need be.

Just finished Round 22 1989, with some stats too. :-D

Check it out.

Jarusa, in the pre-season of 1983, Carlton played a VFL All-Stars side as a charity match to aid bushfire victims. I have the result and was wondering if it could be factored into the Blueseum some how.

More Verbeek!!! :-D

Added Round 19 from 1989, plus a little more commentary on Round 22.

Also updated a bit more on Round 1 1988. The Grand Final Replay victory over Hawthorn!

Added Round 2 1983.

Plus reported on the 1983 Ash Wednesday charity match.

The charity match is interesting, I had never heard of it before.

Wonder if anyone here actually went to it?

About to put up a bio on Adrian Hickmott but need information on some of those big hits he has taken for the Blues. I think there was one in 2002 and one in 2003, when he was flattened going for the ball, but can't remember the games or opponents. Can anyone help?

All games 2003-2005 have been set up but need the memories of people to flesh out the stories. I'd like to ask all of you to contribute to these games.

Don't know the years but he had a cracker of a game against Port, away from memory as it was on TV and I don't have Foxtel. this was one where he had to go on and off to get re-bandaged about 4 or 5 times. I don't think this is the one where he lost his teeth.

Thanks for that Athorn, but I couldn't find any articles about it.

the Blueseum needs peoples memories as well, as the press don't cover all the interesting angles.

One other question - Peter Dean did not play between Round 3 1988 and Round 9, 1989. Was this when he hurt his elbow / arm? Why was he out for so long?

I can't believe out of all the posters on here that no one remembers this? Blueseum fatigue perhaps?

 more like sticky fatigue, very few people read the sticky messages regularly.

I bet you if you ask that same question in one of the threads below (or maybe start one asking that question) you will get an answer or 3.

Jarusa, as I tell my team it's more about quality than quantity, and can I just say how much I'm enjoying PatsFitztricks' work. Pat's bios on players I can only barely acknowledge as Carlton players (given my age, not their contribution to the Club) is spine-tinglingly good. Thanks Pat.
