No Hollywood attitudes this week please.
Just torn up mentally and physically and get the job done.

Win this and we get a gap of 2 games and percentage from the spoon. Lose it and we undo a lot of the good work of the last 5 weeks.

Weitering & Cunningham for Goddard & Lang

I'm pretty sure when Lance Whitnall did this we just called it "fat camp" :-)

We’ll go in as favourites. I think we all know how we have performed in these games previously.
Hopefully we have learnt......

Suns really look shot at the moment. Should be a comfortable win IF we bring the intensity we did yesterday.

I figured out an “if Aunty had balls” stat yesterday. Excluding the 3 games where we forgot to show up (North, GWS and druggies) our percentage is 95.8 for the year. I think at the start of the year a few people were suggesting a year like the 2018 Lions would be acceptable. 2 or 3 more wins and none of those beltings and I think we’d pretty much have achieved that.

We owe these guys a few. They’ve had some day outs against us. I’m sure we all remember the horror shows.

Big test to continue our momentum and don’t give them a sniff.

Hopefully the result next Saturday will be like Gold Coast’s first game in the AFL (against Carlton)
119 pts IIRC :fight:
Go Blues!

Time for the obligatory "Fire up for Carlton" preamble
Quote:
Bemoaning the lack of effort and fight in the Suns, questions were asked of coach Stuart Dew about where on earth Gold Coast goes from here.

“We sat here seven days ago (after the 92-point loss to Richmond), looking for a response … The last two weeks, we’ve certainly lost our way.

“Sometimes you can say it’s not as bad as it seems, but when there’s two performances like that, that’s not what we’re after.”

Dew saved his most surprising post-game comments for when discussing his opponents.

“But tonight, I think, look at the Crows coaches box in the last quarter there. So, that stings. It’s got to sting. That’s where we’re at. That’s what they think of us.”

When asked to clarify what had gone on in the Crows coaches box, Dew said: “They laughed in the last quarter. We’ve got to live with that. It is what it is.”

That’s not going to happen, but hopefully we can scunge another win.

Haha...I did use that term in other forums.

In these sensitive snowflake PC days it's now called a "conditioning block"..haha.

Even that may be triggering to some... I suggest "nutritional education retreat"

Teague's biggest challenge so far will be slapping the "We just expected it to happen" mindset out of these players in the leadup to this game.

We know they're thinking it, they always do. It needs to be stomped out.

They need to treat this game as if their careers depend on it.

Can we arrange for the scoreboard to show Gold Coast ahead by 30 points at the start of the game?
