I think watching Carlton is now fun. At least you know you are in with a chance.

Someone please tell me what value Plowman brings, can’t get lay tall but he’s 191cm tall, can’t play short, can’t hit a target.

For three quarters - a gutless response to a gutsy win the previous week.

For the last? One quarter champions.

We will never, ever, EVER be good enough if we religiously give 3, 4, 5, 6 goal head starts. Nice gallant dramatic exciting comeback finishes sure, but we’re not just here to be entertained - we need to win! Two games now we’ve kicked 100+ and lost by a kick after coughing up a 5 goal lead to the opposition. And another winnable games goes begging.

Time to stand up and show what you can do in one quarter EVERY SINGLE QUARTER. No more teases, no more previews, no more “when they”s or “if they”s.

NOW!

Problem was more our defence and dumb mistakes than just Gov.
for a team that played in a Prelim last year, they are shite.

I'm feeling good about it all. Proud of their efforts. The future is bright.

We cannot expect to win a game of football by playing one quarter.

Today Jack silvagni showed his young teammates how to compete. Consistence is Jack's word from here on in.

Match committee definitely see something in him that I don’t.

Jack and Kennedy were good today (for the whole game not just one quarter).

Boy oh boy, Jack showed us what he brings today.

His footy smarts are just exceptional. Once his teammates work out that he knows exactly what he's doing, he will bring them into the game. Just let him.

Stuck a few marks too.

Really had no right to win that. For a lot of the game, our decision making was atrocious.

At least we’re now disappointed to lose by five points rather than excited to have gotten close

He had a fractured vertebra. I think that gives some context to his condition

Casboult back to the back line next week for Weitering.
McKay in for Weitering (inj).
Cripps for Lang
They are not going to drop McGovern.

Fisher, SPS, LOB, Dow were very ordinary against a big-bodied midfield. Today we needed Cripps in there.
I shake my head at Kreuzer's ruck work. he had two beauties that hit Murphy on the chest and probably a couple of others to our direct advantage but the rest were straight to Melbourne's advantage. Sure, he gets the fantasy points for hitouts and stats but they don't count where the hitouts actually go.
We are in desperate need of a good tap ruckman and another seriously good inside mid. It might end up being Jack but I think we have to make somei\one a godfather offer.
Kennedy and Setterfield had reasonable nights. Jones was beaten but that is a rare occurrence.
I can't see why people hate Plowman. He is serviceable. Two weeks ago he shut down Murray, I think it was.
Same with Newman. Last week he was great. Tonight he was one of 22 who missed targets. SPS is much worse by foot these days.

Not happy with the loss but we can't expect to play one quarter of footy a week and expect to get anywhere.

Very happy to see JSOS stepping up and it looks like Kennedy has found his spot up forward.

I think the Dees were leading the possesion count by 110 at 3qtr time and should have been 8-10 goals up. It was only when their midfield tired and they only had 1 man on the bench that allowed us to get some momentum. We certainly didn't deserve to win.

I agree with these changes however would also look to bring Cunningham (if fit) in the side - maybe at the expense of Dow who might benefit from a run in the VFL.

Unless there is something we don't know, maybe related to lack of a proper pre season, then he is a shocker. All hilight reell and no substance. Exactly what we don't need.

Shocking trade
2 picks in the super draft and McAdam who I reckon will be ok
The thing is we new what he was like but got sucked in by a guy wanting to come to us
Sos does have a third round pick this year
He better jag a good one or the Gov starts putting in
otherwise it’s a shocker
McAdam is the sort of player we need
A small pressure forward

Stop making excuses for him
He has been shit and needs to be dropped

Overall a sub standard game today
Positives were SOS and Casboult

Ok, that's a fair excuse then. I thought it was shoulder surgery in the off season, so fair enough. AR pre season will help him a lot. If he can kick 3 each week and compete all game then he's done his job.

The SOS revival has been one positive out of the year for sure. And Levi down back the last month and a bit and then up forward today has been very good. Hats off to big Levi.

Fisher,Dow,SPS,and LOB where woeful.Yep,i'm takin' aim at the young blokes. Those four only had to brake even in the guts and we win the game.Bout time they step up..........Firin' off at the veterans is poor form for mine as the likes of Simmo and Daisy are bustin' there guts.We are going' nowhere until we get mids who can get a kick...........effing hell you young blokes, old man Jones played you four on a brake.Get a bit of guts and dig deep...............Hard but fair.

And when LOB finally got rolling the last, we were a chance. One more pre season for these boys.....

His decision making is the prob not his physical ability.

But I didn’t know that. How recent? Pretty impressive. I wonder why they don’t give him time to heal?
