I thought Melbourne were quite fortunate Brisbane were inaccurate in front of goal. They had 13 more scoring shots so it could of been much worse.

Stop yer whining kids
We've got this.
Of course we will win.
Geez we just beat Freo at home with a man down and 3 top players out plus Cunners.
Of course we will win!
What could go wrong? :yikes: :smoking:

This is the week that I worry about the team assuming things will just happen..
Bring the intensity and anything can happen.
We should have been smashed for the contested ball last week, but we're not. Same goes for this week....
Keep it up and anything goes

Cheers

Interesting stats from AFL.com
Fit team, but it could mean we do a lot of chasing.

TELSTRA TRACKER TEAM RECORDS
Season records
Total distance covered for season 2019: 4054.5km (2nd)
Total distance at high speed for 2019: 576.2km (2nd)
Total sprints for season 2019: 3445 (3rd)

TOP PLAYER AVERAGES
1. Sam Walsh: 15.50km
2. Michael Gibbons: 14.87km
3. Matthew Lobbe: 14.56km

If we keep improving on pressure acts, disposal efficiency and goal accuracy with these numbers, we should be killing it.

Yes I really hope there isn't a repeat of the North Melbourne debacle.

Agree, as much as last week was a big assignment with the outs we had this week is the real test.

Against a team that we are fairly equal to on the ladder that are down and out. We have been good the last three weeks, let's see if we have really taken the next small step.

If we have really made some improvement we should win this.

and in the other part of the article:

Speedsters – highest speeds recorded in 2019
Now this is a surprise. Known as 'Brackets' at Carlton for making his No.11 jumper look like brackets due to his less-than-flattering frame, Mitch McGovern has clocked the highest speed in a single game for the Blues this season.

1. Mitch McGovern: 34.16km/h v Hawthorn, round six
2. Lochie O'Brien: 34.03km/h v Western Bulldogs, round five
3. David Cuningham: 33.77km/h v Richmond, round one

We've given considerable head starts the last 3 games (despite winning 2 of them and almost pinching a win against the Dogs). Can't keep doing that.

Oliver is a bit of a barometer for Melbourne. Shutting him down from the bounce should be a priority. I'd like to see Jack starting on him, with Ed freed up - particularly if Cripps is absent.

No Crippa or Cunners. Didn’t get through training.
