Yes.
Marchy and Plow held up their end well too. Great team effort and great coaching.

Masterstroke from Coaches to release Curnow from the Fyfe tag and move SOS onto him. kept him under control allowing Curnow to go ballistic in the midfield. There is the game right there. Under Bolton Curniow would have been stuck in the forwards flank twiddling his thumbs

And the gift kept on giving by exposing Jack to a mid/tagging/on the job experience role tailing Fyffe

Those moves would never have happened under Bolton.

Even more impressive was the fact he kicked it on a more difficult angle than it should have been. Fyffe ran 3 metres over the mark and then pointed another 2 metres ahead of him indicating the mark.
Some of the decision making yesterday was abysmal. Against both teams.
Correct.. Our boys need to be smarter than that. Marchbank 50, also... Kruezer should have blasted the umpires for the 'push in the back' at the ruck contest in the first quarter, wake up the umps. We have to get a bit smarter with a lot of stuff.. It will come, I think.

Go Blues

Was Jack on him in the last quarter? I thought he wasn't so much so I assume it was because he was stuffed after chasing him around for two quarters.
Great experience for the kid. I think that might be a role for him with the right match ups in future.

After the siren, the pictures of Doc, Crippa and Charlie together on the field: very excited about what they will add to what we saw in the game.

How good is it the day after a win.
I have watched or recorded 360, Talking footy, On the couch and Footy Classified.
I don't want this week to end.

Good point. Curnow is a much better midfielder than many of us realised. In career best form and good luck to him - he has been a Carlton warrior for years

How bad was the panel on Talking Footy tho?!

BT, Tom Browne, Wayne Carey and Jobe Watson.

My husband took one look and said "I wouldn't save any of them if they were drowning"

You won’t be taking up too much memory space on your hard drive/IQ Box from what I’ve seen so far.

I’m still replaying the second half, and down to the last minute. How good was the Kreuzer effort at the last bounce to tap it forward over the centre pack. Set up the last play.

Far too many chest marks in the pack.

AFLCA Votes

9 E Curnow
9 M Murphy
3 Fyfe
3 Marchbank
2 Petrevski-Seton
2 Walsh
1 Kreuzer
1 Blakely

I thought Fyfe was the best player on the ground, despite the loss and his being tagged.
Interesting that one coach gave him three and one gave him nothing.
Walsh lucky to get in the votes. Casboult might have got 2.

Interesting also that we won with 31 seconds to go but there is only one other Freo player in the votes.

Sadly I haven't had a chance to see the game. I have seen the last 2 mins a few times. Damn the 1%ers by the team were brilliant. Just getting the ball forward at all costs and harassing their opponents with total commitment was a joy. Murphs goal was terrific but everything that lead to getting the ball in his hands was inspiring.

Go you good things.

Regards Cazzesman

What makes them think they're going to walk back into the seniors?

Fyfe was killing us up to half time but had limited effect after that.

And I think the votes overall reflect the fact that we scored 11 goals to 6 after quarter time.
