Interesting comments from McKernan.
Just keep surging the ball forward in the wet and play it in our half. U14 stuff.

Us: Pretend it's not raining. Kick long to a marking contest down the line like we always do with nobody behind the pack and let them surge it forward in the wet and play the game in their half.

Bolton. We have more talent out there than them. the game plan if there is one is woeful.

No we don't....just nonsense.

Reckon the talent is similar. Our coach just gets nothing out of them.

We have a lot of players people assume are good but have in reality shown nothing yet in Setterfield, Kennedy and Dow.

Essendon* have way more guys out there who are at least competent afl players

But we will be competitive for most of them.

Get within 20 points in about 10 of them, that's improvement

90 seconds to go in the second qtr, we get a free kick deep in their forward line and what do we do? We decide to kick the ball in the middle, surprise, surprise they get a goal. DUMB FOOTBALL.

No feel for the game.

This was my point earlier....we are not a team that can do that successfully...too many skill errors.

The way we played against Collingwood, and the first half against the Hawks was spot on. Where has that brand of footy gone? I don't think it has anything to do with Bolts. Its the execution that's the problem. Looks like the players are buying what Bolton is selling ...

Gibbons misses from 20 min directly in front to put us back within a goal. They get it down and goal instead to stretch the lead to 18 pts. Pretty much sums up our year.
This is just depressing to watch.
We need a circuit breaker. Can’t let the 2nd half is the season fade out into nothing.

We look cooked as a team. Even if we win so meaningless it just means they are worse than us. Not that we are better! People that say it’s not meaningless to beat Essendon*. I say whatever makes you sleep at night. With all the losses due to coaching or some other reason. The players are cooked!

Joyless grind. No joy. No positivity. So many players have gone backwards.

Dumbest, least skilled players in the league. No obvious game plan or structure.

Atrocious.

Something’s got to give. Now.

Poor decision making at its best. Let's hope they get updated at half time it's raining.

ARRGGHH.

I love this comment and when they can't hit their target we blame the coaching.

who else is telling them to kick it short today ffs!

You are joking.....I hope.

Parker thinks it is the game plan . he ought to know. I am listening to him right now on ABC. and he is holding back.

Largely unproven, other clubs actually believe you can get talent not just from first round picks.

In fact I don't think Parker could spell it out any clearer.
Wrong match ups.
Wrong game plan.

A win would be a massive thing and something to build on.

But we don’t want to be distracted by such trivial matters

2 of their 3 goals that quarter from clearances and our captain has 6 possessions at half time playing on a second gamer.
Yet it's somehow Boltons fault. :?
Harry badly beaten.
Curnow struggling with the conditions.
Yet the usual suspects bitch and moan without any substance.

Ed Curnow to Merrett. Tick.
Backline performing well with Jones, Docherty, Simpson, Thomas, Williamson sitting in the stands. Tick.
If Cripps can start winning it at the stoppages and giving us some ball going our way, we're well in this game.
