Below is list of our Almighty 1995 Premiership Team. (23 wins out of 25 games)
Looking at each Carlton player from the 1995 team, how many of our current list would be equivalent?

Eg Kouta and Cripps,
Earl and Charlie

What do you reckon?

Carlton
B: 14 Michael Sexton 1 Stephen Silvagni 39 Ang Christou
HB: 33 Matthew Hogg 35 Peter Dean 5 Andrew McKay
C: 13 Milham Hanna 7 Brett Ratten 43 Anthony Koutoufides
HF: 23 Dean Rice 11 Earl Spalding 6 Matt Clape
F: 2 Greg Williams 4 Stephen Kernahan (c) 19 Brad Pearce
Foll: 44 Justin Madden 21 Craig Bradley 20 Fraser Brown
Int: 16 Scott Camporeale 32 Adrian Whitehead 22 Glenn Manton
Coach: David Parkin

The bottom six is the key to this, not the top 6.
Sexton, Whitehead. Manton, Rice, Hogg, Clape?

Sexton bottom 6

Disagree.

He was a rock in defence.

Best of the 3 Sexton brothers.

All Australian.
Big V rep.
BnF Runner up.
Hall of Fame.

Come on BS.

Sexton wore out two pens the amount of signatures he gave me as a kid. Top 6 and we start talking.

Agree 100 %.....................think he got his jaw broken and missed a big stretch of games. We were never the same side after that.Lynchpin of our defence.

OK, Bondi, you know I respect your opinion.
Pick your bottom six in that team.
I was looking forward to some banter over this but unless you can replace Sexton in that group, your comments are hollow.

There must have been a bottom six...

I forgot o follow up my post with the point BS is making is that the 1995 eam boasts AA's in the bottom 6 whereas circa 2019 best 22 only has a couple AA's in the whole team.

I would have had Pearce instead of Sexton, and I'd have Sexton ahead of spalding too....and I know how important both those I mention were to the Mighty all conquering '95 team.

Maybe we should consider the bottom 6 of the senior squad because there were players not in that line up which would have been handy replacements.

I will have a look later.

Point above stands.

There has to be a bottom 6 but Carlton 95 team boasted 22 top 10 players

Well, Sexton was a better player than Hanna (god I feel awful saying that), Spalding or Pearce.

To make it easier though, there was only 21 in the team so you can probably just do a bottom five ;)

More to the point, what are the bottom six Carlton goals you've ever seen (not including finals)

Maybe all those surveys I respond to may work after all.

I've made points regarding inaccurate so called 'facts' in their reports, lack of knowledge of the list, the anti Carlton focus...and they still keep sending me surveys to respond to.

Nah, the club isn't desperate as it was a few years back.

I'm riding the wave. The next chapter of The Journey: Then the wins came early, in 19.

I'll put my head on the chopping block..................Hogg,Hanna,Rice,Clape,Whitehead,Manton.................the six i have mentioned played great games in that GF..............but if we are talking about natural talent, they would be my bottom six

PS..............no correspondence shall be entered into.In other words i aint gonna argue.I learnt about that the hard way.

Not bad Mick. I'd possibly swap Rice with Pearce but apart from that, I reckon you've nailed it.

Spalding provided a contest but was a tryer at best. Casboult kicking prowess when he first arrived
Couldn't doubt his commitment but he would be in my boťtom 6
Premiership half forward line of Rice Spalding Clape wouldn't be the best going around.
I like Earl but he gave a contest and not much else
