Comments- No more stupidly tall sides - Time to move on from Rowe/Daisy/Kerridge/Graham, use only in emergency.

Pickett license to run from h/b, want him fit as his ever been and working on core strength to break tackles. He should be making Neville Jetta look like Oakley-Nicholls, no more ##### about.

McGovern rotating with Curnow in a floating outside the contest midfield role and CHF role. Walsh playing outside mid from h/f don't want him getting banged up inside the contest in his first year.

Hardest spot to fill is small forwards, battle between Garlett Fasolo Lang.

Plowman Marchbank would want to show a lot more strength/commitment and desperation in the contest.

Cover against 3 tall FWD line with Marchy/Mcreadie in side, can also rotate Jones as floating spare against 2 tall FWD line with one of those two on the ground for a small, Jones plays his best football in that role and is a real weapon.

I was wondering about Polson in the forward line.
He does have an excellent first step. In the middle he then always goes for the second and gets caught. Wonder if he can be trained to do his 'first step evade thing' and then snap for goal rather than try to straighten up and run with it....We are still looking for another good small forward.

Yeah has all the tools but still hasn't quite settled to the pace as yet, but neither had Fisher at the same stage. I still have high hopes for him to be a 60-40 fwd-mid in time. When he hits the 50-60 game mark think we'll be pleasantly surprised.

And SPS. Hoping we can see a bit more flair from him next season.

We need a young ruck so we can play the kids...

B: Plowman Weitering Williamson
HB: Docherty Marchbank O’Brien
C: Fisher Kennedy Petrevski-Seton
HF: Polson Curnow Pickett
F: McGovern McKay Silvagni
R: De Koning Cripps Dow

I: Macreadie Setterfield Walsh Cuningham

E: Graham Schumacher Lang Garlett Kerr

I give SOS a tick for bringing in youth.

Wow that really is an insanely talented young team. Would that whole team be 23 and under? Pretty close. Maybe plowman and McGovern 24. We have finally rebuilt properly. The foundation is there. Anything we add now is a bonus. The next decade is going to be fun

fun if people remember they are kids and it will still take time but yes, that is a much, much better list than the list Bolts inherited.

Obviously... but imagine in 5 years when this group is all 28 and under.. plus whoever else we add in the next 5 drafts and trades. The hardest thing is going to be keeping this group together and under the salary cap

I think we’re missing a couple of small high pressure forwards more than a de goey type personally

We have small forwards. Wpuldn't mind a couple more to add pressure on spots

Entry and Intensive development are the key to their success. We only need a couple by 2020. so pressure is on the following

Fisher
SPS
Pickett
Garlett
Lang
Polson
LeBois

2019-2021 I expect Murphy to make that spot his own, Might finish his career with a flag :gift:

Throw in a B-grade uncontracted player as well, eg, Daniel Menzel.

And I reckon we should still throw some extra $$ at Libba, and have him nominate for the PS Draft and we give up nothing except pay some overs on $$. We have to pay 95% plus of salary cap, don't we? So why not take a risk on Libba, given that the reward could be huge?

Libba at his best, sharing stoppage and clearance work with Cripps, while Dow, Setterfield, Fisher and Walsh continue to develop, would be worth going extra yard to try and convince him to have a fresh start at Carlton, with our new High Performance guru.

Lemmy's got some advice for these boys

Evolution is a mystery
Full of change that no one sees
Clock makes a fool of history
Yesterday's too long ago
Don't agree with what I know
Tomorrow is the place to be

I see the line in the sand
Time to find out who I am
Looking back to see where I stand

See my reflection change
Nothing ever stays the same
But you know the names The Game
We all know what it means
Nothings ever what it seems
Unforgiven, unforseen

Although Orton as another mobile tall is tempting, they just don't fit our age demographic.

Gosh its a good list.

Both teams look competitive. List balanced. No injuries helps.

I expect Jones and Setterfield to get a good run in the seniors in 2019.
Competition for spots is going to drive JSOS Lang Garlett and Cuningham to step up.

The addition of Docherty and Newman across HB is going to be a winner for years to come.
Nice to see Williamson on a wing. Good size and can ink with his marking...and that peg.

I just pray the boys get stronger, last longer and stay healthy from now on.

Bring on the preseason.

Looks a good list :smoking:

Change I would make is swap Setterfield and Pickett, Macreadie and Newman

At this stage

Newman Jones Marchbank
Docherty Weitering Williamson
LOB Cripps Simpson
SPS Curnow Fisher
Murphy McKay McGovern
Kreuzer Kennedy Dow
Curnow Walsh Thomas Cuningham
EMG: Plowman, Pickett, Polson, Silvagni

I like Plowman but don't want to see four tall defenders in the team any more. Fingers crossed Williamson is fit and healthy, looked like a beauty in his first year. Haven't included Setterfield just yet, happy for him to build up in the VFL for a while. Was 50/50 on Cuningham or Pickett, I like the attributes they both have, here's hoping they both have breakout years.

I just noticed something interesting on our list when going back to my 22 to see if I'd change anything.

Look at all the left-footers we have now.
