And we're all done at 56,005.

Think we might drop back below 50 000 after today's result.

I wouldn't be surprised if our numbers fall next year.
They have managed to piss off lots of members with these cheap tickets at the MCG and Etihad.
Why would you pay $500-600 a year when you can get tickets in a bay next to yours for $15, a third of what members have paid?

we are tracking towards our lowest attendance record since 2002 /2003

supporter are voting with their feet

Yesterday they had closed off half of level 3.
When I went into the ground I heard the announcers saying that general admission was also on level 1 in certain bays.
I have rung the club about the cheap ticket issue and the person I spoke to understood and said it was a balancing act of not upsetting reserved seat members and trying to get people to attend games.
I think they have already upset reserved seat members and it you read facebook comments there are plenty of angry members.

In the fine print, you have to sign up to the direct debit to be eligible for the upgrade

Q: I already have the most premium membership, will I still receive an upgrade?

A: We have assessed each membership type to ensure every member receives a complimentary upgrade irrespective of membership category or entitlements.

Hmmm...doesn't answer the question. I'm intrigued.

I "signed up" last year by forgetting to opt out so I'm already golden

Me too, since I'm a paid up direct debit captains club member, along with several others in the family.

Better get more than a @#$%&! scarf.

This is a great initiative by the club - kudos to Cain Liddle.

The difference between a Captain's Club Reserve on Level 2 and a Captain's Club Premium on Level 2 is $101 ($666 vs $767). So I'll be wanting a $101 discount on my membership in 2019 if I renew. I doubt the club can raise prices too much. A comparable membership at Collingwood is $150 cheaper.

My best bet is probably to fork over $230 to the Gold Coast Suns and attend 7 Carlton games at the MCG within the AFL Members Reserve.

Should at least guarantee some more bums on seats. There are rows around me that have been empty all season...in a membership section that the website says is 'SOLD OUT'. I suspect they are 'Jeanne members'.

Should help retention after a 2 win season. Good idea. Hopefully it’s implemented well and people drop back next year and don’t get overcharged.

Good of the club.
I am a member reserved type member with seats on level 1.
Looking forward to an upgrade even though I have good seats now.

I'm CC Premium. Like I said, better be more than a scarf. I'll begrudgingly accept a buffet brunch at the club sometime this Summer with coach and leadership group. (I'm gluten and dairy intolerant, they better @#$%&! cater).
