Thomas was among our better players against Tigers (and I am not a Thomas fan) ... I don't know what game some of you people were watching.

I think its not a bad option to play Levi in the ruck ... but the problem with that is I don't think he could do it the whole game like Kreuzer.

Hopefully Kennedy will be available but if not ... I guess Kerridge has to come in.

Push Weitering forward or maybe onto a wing.

Out: Kennedy, Kreuzer, Mullet, Lamb
In: McKay, Kerridge, Cunningham, Lang

WOW really - I thought he was pretty good. Composed, clean hands and a good, accurate kick!

I'd drop SOJ before him.

MCkay not ready. Phillips 1st game back last night for NB, definitely not ready.

Cunningham, I agree with. Was good playing for NB

There is no way in a billion years we would drop Casboult if Kreuzer is out - you are insane, sir.

Cuningham had 25 touches and a goal in the VFL, playing midfield I think which is more natural for him. Should be a chance to come hopefully.

When Casboult retires at age 35 due to injury you'll be straight on here saying "I told you he wouldn't last!"

I heard he played half back? :?

Personally, I hope he did because that will be his future. He doesn't find enough consistent footy playing midfield IMHO. I think his kicking and burst from behind the ball will be a real weapon for us. He has a pure kicking action and he could easily become our preferred option to kick the ball in after a point.
I think we erred not playing him last night as our defensive match ups were poor. We allowed the opposition to dictate our defensive match ups which is ridiculous.
Richmond set Townsend to play on Jones. Surely any half decent coach would in response send Jones to Riewoldt, forcing the Tigers to make a decision on their strategy.
Plowman was a better match up for Townsend and Cuningham could have picked up the smaller forwards instead.

Does anyone know why Lobbe missed?

I think the poor games from Weitering and to a lesser extent Jones exacerbated our overall defensive performance. If not for Marchy... well...

Lobbe had a corked quad according to an article by Blues' website

It's always hard choosing who to drop and who to persist with after only one game!

If Kennedy doesn't pull up, and they decide not to risk kreuzer, that's already 2 changes.
Can't then go and drop 5 others on top of that!

We need to stick fat with a few of the young guys and trust they bounce back.

If Dow and Weitering have another shocker, then you'd think they'd be sent back to get some confidence in week 3.

You'd think that kerridge seems to be the logical (if not ideal) replacement for Kennedy.

I hope kreuzer can get a clean bill of health..

Agree that Mullet played well and no way should he be dropped.

Question marks over sos and lamb, but I expect they'll retain their spots.

Cunningham might squeeze out Byrne on the HB line?

Gotta keep Dow in all year. Get him to 50 games ASAP. Last night was a pretty intense game to debut in, he'll be used to the speed of AFL soon enough.

Dow didn’t have a shocker. Did ok against the premier. No point playing him in the reserves. Fast track him.

Agree with you Lobbe, Mckay, and Cuningham should come into the side.

Byrne and Cunningham are the future.

Mullet is a trier who has been dumped from a weaker team ... we know what he gives ... but he aint the future.

He will put in serviceable games but IMO ... he is just robbing others of opportunity.

IMHO, Jones had a poor game because Richmond put a defensive forward on him to disrupt his run at the ball. We made the mistake of allowing it to continue.

Has anyone seen a picture of the ground NM and GC are playing on tomorrow? The Suns are going to have seriously heavy legs after playing on that!

I'm with you. Was watching him all night as I didn't know why he was picked. A couple of questionable kicks, but other than that Mullet did what was required. He also seemed to be coming on when the Tiges were running hot too...

Go you good things
