Hodge is a sniping scumbag. Would prefer to keep Barker.

While I concur...Hodge will end up in cushy Meedya job eating Lite n easy on the side.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, Dew got the nod on the Coast.

Barks remains here again?

Barker could do with a change for his own sake. Perhaps replace Dew as Senior Assistant at the Swans.

He might feel like the ship is sailing on him.

Still, in 2-3 years (likely even less), we'll learn that the Bucks/Scott at Pies/Roos extension experiment hasn't worked, and another door opens.

Lyon in Freo may end early too at the current rate.

Totally forgot, Clarko and Kennett aren't the best of buddies, with contract up in 2019. Mention of it on the AFL website.

Given he's the "most qualified" based on the AFL's training measures, it's a bit of an indictment on the system.

Doesn't help when three golden balls pretenders (Hird/Voss/Buckley) jump the coaching apprenticeship queue.

Seems like the latest batch of hired coaches to senior positions relies upon them coming from successful clubs ala Fagan, Bolton, Dew, Pike. Used to be that they came from playing in premierships ala Wallace, Hird, Voss , Buckley, Lepitch ect

Yep, amazing that Buckley's turned out to be a dud coach after all those premierships he played in.

Maybe. He hasn't been a coach as such, but the High Performance Manager.... and if anything, our performances this year have been anything but high. Hopefully this external review will identify a few things in this regard.
