Not sure, I only saw it on the TV. I wasn't at the interview.

You don't see the questions unfolding ahead on the TV.

Agreed Frank. It's perhaps dangerous to read too much into body language and vague/guarded answers, but I felt Bolts indirectly confirmed that Cas is leaving and that we are right in the mix for Kelly.

Funny you should mention body language...

Just had a mate of mine over who is a senior lawyer and happened to catch the BB interview from On The Couch. He's not a big footy fan but when the question on Kelly was put to BB, my mate commented on BB's body language - twitched right index finger, thumb and left elbow. Reckons he's excited about something and trying very hard to suppress it. Here's hoping!

Sorry a bit slow on the uptake but that deserves a round of applause

Bolton, as good as he is, needs to try something in the forward line. Palmer as a defensive forward? Debut Kerr and Mckay?

I don't think he meant Casboult is going, I think we aren't really trying that hard to keep him.

We have probably offered him 450-500k for 2 years and if anyone beats that he can walk. Probably all parties are aware of this too.

Here's hoping someone dumb offers a 4 year deal.

And yes I'm sure we are a massive chance for Kelly

I can only hope that Brendon lives by his mantra as well, and learns from each match. There have been times in matches where he hasn't adapted a game plan to suit the opposition. Just my only concern really, otherwise I still see him as our best recruit in living memory.

Tom McDonald was having his way with weathering for 3 quarters, jones was way on top of hogan. Yet move wasn't made until last quarter when damage was done! BB had a shocker today, second time in 3 weeks. These "respectable" losses have to stop!

Yeah, I was thinking that, Hogan was so rubbish he wasn't a threat.

To be different and innovative, would've liked to have seen Sheehan put in the middle for a bit with his big body, and rested docherty down back. Cripps was a loss and we lost that grunt.

Got to agree BDW. Weiters was way off the mark and surprised that move wasn't made earlier

One could also argue that Sheehan could of shifted away from the backline

Luke Hodge making an announcement at 2pm ahead of his 300th game. Retirement? Assistant at Carlton next year?

What Bolton has done for this club is create patience whilst demanding high standards.

The mood in the supporter base is noticeably one of patience. Look we should have won 50% of our close ones, and could have won all of them. Only the Port game we were never in.

No one is angry. No one is pissed off. It's frustrating but we are patient. In one and a half seasons, Bolton and Trigg have changed the psyche of an entire supporter base.

That is incredible. Spoke to him briefly at training the other day and he is so passionate and believes so strongly in what we have. Super impressive.

So many wasted years, but we are slowly becoming a club again. We have a game plan that I could actually explain to my dad yesterday. I couldn't tell you when I could last do that.

We are disciplined and tough. Not thugs, but tough.

I love what this club is becoming with the little guy from tassie in charge.

maybe also, cos we know a loss is a kind of win at this stage. to be in it and capable of winning, but missing by a little means we stay in the best posi. for adding to the list.
Not done on purpose...I'm not suggesting that, or that we want to, but it is the compensation prize til next year when we have a real crack for the 8.

Agree.

Better to lose narrowly overall than to get flogged too. Would have been nice to have won some more of those close ones, but it's not the end of the world.

If Barker goes North it would be a good move.

I read in the HUN today that to get band 1 compensation it has to be a long term deal in the vicinity of $800,000 a year now.
If he leaves for a 4 year deal worth $500,000 as reported then any compo will be pretty average, he is worth more to us than that sort of compensation.
