Jacob Hooper will be SOS target this year.
Absolutely loves Hooper.
No interest in Kelly or Fyfe, price to high.
Can't say I have seen a lot if him.
Just thought I would pass this on.

Assuming this is the case (sorry, but it would surprise me if Braddles is being kept abreast of our recruitment strategies...beyond what SOS's plan is for Jake) I'd be happy if Hopper is the main focus and we don't enter into the crazy money being rumoured for Kelly. But it'd be good to try and get some of his mates to jump on board too.

I'd be happy too.
We'll get jackshit for Casboult.

Given we got nothing for Waite, I can't see the AFL offering us anything for an inconsistent KPF who was picked up as a rookie (by Carlton btw) and never kicked more than 25 goals in a season. We know what his worth should be, but this is the AFL will see it.

Google Vickery

Waite went for a low $$ contract but for a few years. Vickery is the worst KPF in the competition.

Bradley is in business with Sticks Rexy. Sticks knows everything thats going on down the club.
As for Casboult, if he holds his form, decent offers will come for him. I wouldn't think 3+ years on 500k will be out of the question.

Yes that's correct, sticks and Bradley own a printing business together.
As i said, just passing on what I was told.
SOS will target Hooper, doesn't mean we will get him.
Time will tell.

You're kidding? His decision making is terrible. He has cost us a number of goals on many occasions.

How can you cost a number of goals on one occasion? Unless it's against Essendon* and they get a second shot from a free after the first.

The price for Casboult is determined mostly by the size of the contract he leaves for. If he is offered a large contract (like Vickery) we should get a 2nd round pick.

I'm happy for Gibbs to stay. But I'd kind of be just as happy if we get a 1st & 2nd round pick which I think is fair value. More subjectively, I'd want to see Adelaide trade up higher into the draft and pass that on b/c pick 17 + 35 is clearly unders for a guy who could be the difference b/w winning or losing a grand final.
So, if we can get a top 10 pick + any 2nd rounder, the deal would probably get done.

What has changed since last year?
- Yes, Gibbs has less time left on his contract but still too long to go to make much of a difference, IMO - he is still well entrenched with a thick contract
- If Adelaide gets to a prelim or GF without winning the flag, I think they'd be prepared to go a bit further to secure the missing link. And, imagine how they would feel about the possibility of Gibbs + Sloane (they will be having visions of Dangerfield & Selwood). The Crouches are good accumulators. But what they really need is a bit more silk to support Sloane. Plus, Betts will be in their ear.
- Betts may well be in Gibbs' ear too...
In summary, I think the best offer from last year will end up doing the deal: ie. we get a 1st and 2nd round pick (perhaps incl one of those picks from the following draft...).

... Answered your own question.
What has changed since last year is that it's incredibly obvious that Adelaide need Gibbs ;)

It will be interesting because they may end up with a lower pick than 17...14? Have to look at the draw, but the 'let's not tag' is clearly out the window when playing them

Go you good things

17th, in what Universe do you think SOS will let Gibbs go for the compensation he rejected a year ago? Simply won't happen.
