If Jones has earned a game he should be included in the team. Incidentally I'd give Jaksch and Boekhrust a go too let's find out we're these players are at before we give them the flick .
It's not like we jeopardizing a spot in the eight.

BB got a reasonable rating from the coach last week.
Tackling seems to be a part of his game now.
He must be getting close.

The one who worries me is Buckley. I like him in the team but he is out of form or favour or both it seems.

Well ... let's just hold off on that call until Jones actually produces the goods in the AFL.
Major tease that one.

Comments re Cunningham and Graham sound like they are a chance.

Comments re KJ and Harry sound like they need to consolidate/improve over a further couple of weeks before getting a call up. Nothing in their summaries indicate a call up this week.

The most intriguing one for me was Jones. Could he be a new breed of ruckman?
Great leap so can compete one on one with any ruckman.
Great mark and around the ground won't have a key backman to compete against.
Decent field kick.

"Our best player on the day, especially given we had a job to do on the VFL’s best ruckman in Nick Meese which he more than accomplished. He competed his socks off and his follow-up was like an on-baller."

That would only benefit him at centre bounces. Easy to nullify his leap at stoppages.

Good to hear he's found a new position.

Anything is worth a try this year. I'm loving seeing grenshoots every week....especially from teenagers

I cannot believe I am saying this but based on what I saw of the NB game if Krooooze cannot get up I would have Jones instead of Philips in a heartbeat.

Credit when it's due... he was great in that game... didn't win the hit outs but competed well and his seconds efforts were outstanding.

I am at the point where I don't really care who they bring in or leave out but I trust they will play enough kids to make the game somewhat interesting.

The only player I never want to see again is Jaksch. I have it in for him. I don't know why. I guess it has got to do with how we recruited him and that for a man of his size he has no intensity.

They should try him in the ruck in the VFL?

What's the point, if you never want to see him again. They may as well just drop him from the VFL.

Never want to see him in the seniors. He can help our VFL team. If we have to have him on our list we might as well try something new in the smallest of hope.

Alex Silvagni upgraded from the rookie list for Ciaran Byrne

Doh - missed it by the width of an Essendon* drug needle.

Interesting they upgraded AlexS rather than JGM. A bit defensive from the coach ..?

I read today that the players missing last week from our win against Port last year were Walker, Armfield, Thomas, Kreuzer, Everitt and maybe one or two more. Can’t recall the others. Other than Kreuzer, nobody that is going to figure for us long term. Painful, but certainly on the right track.

Falls in line with what B70 said regarding Macreadie needing a rest.

Hmmmm I was enjoying a good chuckle after the first post assuming your tongue was planted firmly in your cheek. One of the better posts I've read in a while. Then I read the serious response and laughed even harder at the poster being sucked in. But then  I read the follow up and realised you might actually be serious which takes the best post I've read in a while to being one of the silliest. :screwy:
