Really can't see a problem with today's presser. These things are just fluff for the plebs anyway and supporting your players in that environment is basic media management if you want to avoid a series of negative articles by the bottom feeders.
My theory on coaches is that we have no idea what the @#$%&! they're up to and that we should give them all the support they need for three years. After that it's open season. I've had concerns about all our recent coaching hires from Brittain onwards with the exception of Bolton who has so quickly changed the club's idea of itself that I'm an instant fan. That said, if there's no major progress after three years I'll be joining the throng.
It's the most important role in the club and rebooting a basket case is going to take time.
He's only just started. Give the guy a chance.
Hmmm, common sense.
A coach gives a press conference and supports his player(s); hardly surprising.
So far nobody has provided any evidence that the players are unhappy. In every football club, there are going to be some who dislike a coach's methods, and I'm sure there would have been players at Hawthorn who wouldn't like the way Clarkson goes about his trade. To my knowledge, none of us knows what is happening with Bolton and the players, except for the occasional tidbits the club publishes on the website.
Maybe Bolton is a crap coach, but unless someone here is part of the inner sanctum, I'm certain they don't know either way.
