Quote:
While Trigg said on Thursday that Clark's departure has been an amicable one it is understood Clark - who also oversaw the Blues' marketing, sponsorship and events - did not feel suited to the football club environment.

He'd also do product and service development.

Point 7. Annual Report

Future Developments Disclosure of information regarding likely developments in the operations of the Club in future financial years and the expected results of those operations is likely to result in unreasonable prejudice to the Club. Accordingly, this information has not been disclosed in this Report.

what does this mean?

it means they operate on a need to know basis

of course, the billionaires think that - but what are the facts that are not disclosed resulting in unreasonable prejudice to the Club?

does pratt provide the personal guarantee above the 5 million debt ceiling?

More or less. The 5 million is the fully utilised loan guaranteed by the AFL. the 276k is money owed to the gambling regulator, and the 1.2 million is money owed for the purchase of gaming machines.

equity of the club is in serious decline - from the high point of $13.389 mill in 2011 to $8.14m this year - 40%

revenue $57mill in 2013 to $54 mill to 2016

the club is not growing and is in fact contracting and declining

says to me the Board have no ideas - no plans to grow and in fact not executed any plan to grow

What's your conclusion on why revenue has declined? Besides blaming the board that is....

Its only the board
You need passion drive smarts ideas and execution
If you look at equity on present trends carlton could be worthless in 5 years

Well its pretty easy to see where the drop off is

- pokie revenues down more than a million
- sponsorship down more than a million
- gate down more than a million

2 of these can be linked to our teams form and ladder position.

carlton is like a small satellite just drifting around in a low level orbit above the earth

what we need is someone and some group to lift the club out of this drifting orbit - a big boost of ideas, money and people to make us relevant again when we were always in the news everyday and a media throng always turned up at AGM's . Carlton used to pack out Melbourne Town Hall for AGM'S in the old days...

the 3 financial issues above suggested by Wookie are just indicators not causes of a larger problem
