Jaeger hasn't played for 2 years. Not worth a 1st rounder. I would prefer to trade players for top 40 draft picks this year than draft picks for players

Some think tells me we will be trading picks for either,
Jaeger, Tomlinson, Steele and possibly Marchbank...
It all depends on what the club wants and what we are prepared to give up..
Would rather pick up Jaeger or Marchbank..

As evidenced today - we need speed and quality skills. No more spuds.

Who does everyone think will be gone from our senior list at years end including retirement, delisted or hopeful trade. There would have to be about a dozen if we are serious.

Hopefully we can trade for a couple more 2nd rounders and have 4 picks inside the top 30.

That should be the aim.

I really doubt Boekhorst will be delisted. The rest of that list is pretty hard to argue with, probably Foster and Rainbow most likely to be reprieved due to their youth, but 1 year gig only if they do survive. Add Wood and unfortunately Sheahan from rookie list, Gowers and Galluci question marks as well.

And it's only after 2017 that the Thomas / Jones mllion dollars can be returned to effective AFL players. Such a big noose around our list; it's hard to fathom really.

I don't think Boekhorst will lose his spot on the list; perhaps a draft pick but only if Freo / WCE aren't going to use their second rounder I guess (unlikely).

If we are Serious about moving forward, then another Huge Clean up of our Miserable list has to occur. Some players have to be moved on, even if it means paying out their contracts. Looking at the current list, here are the players that have no future at our Club, they have ran their race.

Liam Jones- Waste of a talent. Too lazy and not AFL level, the bulldogs knew that along time a go.

Jason Tutt- Speed but not much else. VFL level at best

Sam Kerridge- If he had a footy twin, I would say it must be Nick Graham. Hard at it but takes you no where with their shocking disposals and brains not to mention being slow. They are never going to Win you a Flag.

Nick Graham: As above

Blaine Boekhorst: Serious question marks over him. I don't think he will make it, but perhaps deserves one more year!!

Jed Lamb: Same as above. Average player. Can be good at times but lacks consistency. One more year and let's see if he can make it

Kristian Jaksch : He has to go. Seriously, had enough of this dud. Does nothing and is injury prone

Mark Whiley: He has to go too. Not AFL standards. He is been given too many chances. VFL player at besr

Clem Smith: Just not up to it. Everyone had high hopes of him being the next Eddie Betts but no where near it. He has to go

Jayden Foster: I don't even know why he is on our list. Has anyone seen him play yet?

Matthew Dick : Same as above... what on earth are those players doing on an AFL list? this is crazy

Daniel Gorringe: Big question marks over him. Either him or Philips have to go.. not up to it

Dale Thomas: When will his crazy contract ends? for God's Sake, pay him out and let him go....

Michael Jamison: Has ran his race. Great Servant to our Club....

Mathew Right : Average player...good at times but no consistency.

There are also question marks over Everitt, Simon White, Liam Sumner, Phillips & Rowe. They are never going to win you a flag. At some stage, they all have to go as well.

You guys are talking like these players have currency, or we will delist them and replace them with 15 first rounds draft picks. They aren't worth a thing on the market

We have a chance at 2 good players this year with our first and second round picks. We traded out our players with currency last year and SOS did a fantastic job of it!

Nah lets just delist them all at once, then replace them out on the field with 18 year old kids picked up 40-70 straight into the AFL team.

FFS there aren't even ANY players in the twos to replace them with now....which is the exact reason they are getting a game at the moment!

Better get used to waiting because rebuilding a list takes time and it only started last year. Everything before SOS and BB is a write off. This is year one. Wake up and stop complaining day in day out like we have ANY OPTIONS

I agree with this that is why we should be looking at trying to
be trading out some one who has some value to get some early picks
it is a rebuilding plan so it is going to be a 5year plan and we have probably
3 or 4 players who have got some value who we should be trading out over the next 3 years

Would love an honest reply from SOS who was list manager at GWS when he brokered the pick 19 Jaksch/Whiley deal for our pick 7.

At this stage it looks a bad deal for CFC.

Then we blow pick 19 on Broekhurst?? What were we thinking?

Can't delist that many unless you want to delve into pick 120 and 130 at the draft. We don't have any key forwards so it's best not to trade out what we have until the like of McKay and C.Curnow develop.

Depends who's contracted too. Boekhorst will go ok for us eventually, reckon Buckley might too. Others might struggle though. Whiley is playing so well in the VFL pity he can't take the next step. Tempted to keep him for one year to see if he can. If not then he's on his way out.
