I don't get all the hate for this selection....he's kicking goals and by all reports applying pressure and working hard throughout the games....everything required and especially in a position that we are lacking. If his name wasn't Silvagni he'd get a game. Get excited! I love the romance of Footy.

There's no hate from me............ I love the selection to play him.

Just confused as to why they dropped Tutt.

Someone had to make way ... Jack was always gunna play.
Buckley was our best player for the NB's last week ... and we need pace ... so I am surprised he was not named.
Also ... on the back of last weeks belting ... it was pretty obvious we needed to do something about the midfield ... I think Graham should have come in.

Why Tutt????

18 disposals and a goal last week. Thought he did OK?

Surprised he got 18 touches, I'm sure I only noticed him butcher the ball about 12

Further to this, Jed Lamb only had 9 disposals playing through the midfield?

Think it's a bit of a tough call on Tutt.

Tutt is a squib with no skill

It must be about consistency of effort, that's the only thing I can gather from the VFL reports.

Some of us on this site have been privileged to have seen both Serge and Steve play live and this week we get to watch Jack.
3 generations ...... gee that makes me feel old. Seen premierships from the first 2 and hopefully Jack can add to that some time soon.
Good luck Jack

Love seeing SOJ but a little concerned we've got no run.
Everitt, White, Walker and SOJ all in the same side. :?

Yeah there were a few worse or less productive for sure. I'd say it says a lot about who is or isn't seen as a part of our future.

Fair point too!

Watching bombers vs weagles... Centre clearances making all the difference. We did it against the cats... But got killed in last 3 games. Is it just murphy? What do you think we need for centre setup to get it happening?

Seen 4 VFL games this year. Jack has more football nous and skill than at least half the senior team and stands out at VFL level.

Blood some kids; highlight some promise; show off some real football ability.

It is a complete and utter waste to play Tutt in the 1's.

Disappointing that Jesse White is out for them.

I first went to a Carlton home game in 1957 (sitting on my father's shoulders).

I fully expect to see Ayce, Zaine or Le Bron Silvagni in 2038.

Actually, that's BS (the last part).

I meant the part where I expect to see them.
