I just got back from Italy, and in the space of a month we've become flower UNIT.

If anyone wants to fund another overseas trip to keep the momentum, I will happily oblige. Nothing like watching us beat Essendon**** from my balcony on the Amalfi coast, Collingwood from a garden in the hills of Tuscanny, Port Adelaide from the Cinque Terre...

I would like to go to Japan next. Just saying :-D

OH, AND I WOULD LIKE TO BRING EVERYONE'S ATTENTION BACK TO THE FACT THAT I CALLED BOLTON AS OUR SAVIOUR IN APRIL LAST YEAR, A MONTH OR SO BEFORE MALTHOUSE WAS SHOWN THE DOOR.

I actually think it's more racist to think Motlop deserves preferential treatment because it's indigenous round.

Neither of those statements reflect what I said, so quit playing dumb about it for attention. You don't agree with my viewpoint? Let it die.

You're normally on the ball KH, but that's poor.

Jim, no offence, but you're being a knob.

Yesterday I had lunch at my parents' place for my sister's 50th birthday and it was good. Most of it anyway. My younger sister who is no longer a sister but has just announced she's binary and will be referred to as "they" and "them" spent a good deal of the afternoon baiting me and hoping for a response over any subject that was raised throughout the day.

She didn't get one and went home disappointed.

You've got your response from a number of people now. Give it a rest.

And to suggest others are playing for attention here is a fairly major projection.

You're probably right, Jim. But there have been some woeful posts in a thread where we should be celebrating an inspiring win.
You thrive on playing the victim but no one is with you on this one.

Gee when we do well Synbad goes missing... No kudos? Covering over the cracks of a shit board?

I know it's early days but last time I had this confidence in our 'team' was early 2000s. Been almost 15 years!

From the outside looking in seems like the Carlton 'oligarchy' are finally realising to stay out of the footy business and have finally got the people around them to build a modern day football club!

My highlight against Port was Cripps' spearing tackle on the wing.

My highlight yesterday was Rowe's tackle on Bartel forcing him out of play when it appeared they were on for a goal.

Great to see.

From my own personal viewpoint, I'm acknowledging things equally within the context of the conversation.

I reckon it'd be more annoying if I went around posting 'well said' and '+1' to every post I agreed with. All I'm trying to post is what's left of my opinion that hasn't been said first, within reason anyway.

You literally quoted a post where I suggested we all shutup about it.

No.

I quoted a post where you suggested to Adam Chatfield that he disagreed with your viewpoint and should let it die.

Nothing was said about anyone else and you've been baiting people for 24 hours now.

Let it go.

As Kenny was pointing out the disappointing thing is that this thread should be for talking about what's one of the most significant wins the club's had over the last fifteen years.

Discuss that or start a new thread for flower and take the other stuff there.

I was rapt in Boltons answer when he was asked if Sam Rowe was part of his plans when he came to the club " they all are its a blank canvas, it's the only fair way to do it"

That's what Bolts has brought to the club and why the players are all playing for each other.

Dare I say it all for one one for all or united we stand united we fall.

Love it

Big shout out on the team defence side of things to Gorringe, Gibbs, Everitt and Walker, who all chipped in 3 or more 1%ers. Could that be a club record for the forward unit?

The stat is supposedly about knock-ons, shepherds and spoils, but it's rare to see any knock-ons and shepherds actually counted, so I'm going to take it to mean the latter category. So when they weren't winning the ball in the air, they were bringing it to ground. It also reflects that they also went back when it was their turn (notably Everitt).

I hope that's the kind of stuff that comes up in the game review.

Well said GWS!

How come when I set the ignore function for Jimmaes post it won't allow me - its terrible having to always scroll past his irrelevant dribble. It enables me for Dane but not this poster!!

Surely there must be a feature to bypass his posts!! PLEASE

I've spent the day watching this game, replaying bits and loving life as a Bluebagger.

Amazing team effort.
Cats just couldn't get the ball out of our forwardline once in there due to desperation and commitment to do so by our forwards and mids pressing down.

In the 3rd when the Cats had the ball in their forwardline 63% of the time, they just couldn't find space to have a clear shot at goal and as a result hardly fired a shot.

Team defence. I'm loving it. The boyz look after each other. It is incredible to witness how they are there for each other.

All of the 'maligned' players were winners and showed a bit of spunk.

Tuohy's and Walker's best game of the year. I've been pissed off with both of them so far this year.
Tuohy was exceptional yesterday. He seemed to get that extra yard of pace that was missing for the last 9 weeks.
Walker committed to attacking the ball and did a fair bit of running and presenting.
So glad to see Everitt run so hard too.
Rowe has become a man mountain. The Wall. Tough. Dependable.
Kreuzer was beaten in the ruck but he was most effective when he won it and around the ground with 11 tackles.
White got better as the game wore on. He took on the Cats and showed a bit of zip. Dependable.
Gorringe moved well. Linked up. Snagged a couple.
Thomas continues his good form. Could have kicked a bag if players honoured his leads.
Armfield not only kicked goals, close space and tackled, he assisted a few goals too.
Lamb and Wright played their roles despite some bad kicking for goal, got better as the game wore on.

Amazing effort. Inspiring. I sit and wonder if we played like that against the Tigers, GCS, and Doggies whether we would have pinched those games.

The fact that I wonder implies we can all look forward to watching the Blues with open eyes and plenty of optimism for the remainder of the year.

Gibbs Cripps Docherty Simpson Curnow and even Kerridge continued their good form and formed one of the toughest midfields in the competition, as long as they have a ruck giving them a 50/50 chance. They are a fit bunch.

Murphy Byrne Sumner Boekhurst Curnow to come into that side.
I have a lot of confidence Jaksch will star for us too, and Phillips will become a beauty too.
That's just this year: 2016.

Imagine where we are heading with this coach, another draft period, and another preseason...plenty to look forward to.
I feel the swagger come on!!!!
