We should actually ease up on indigenous players in indigenous round? :screwy:

You think it's a good look to be targeting him for full-scale baiting?

We didn't absolutely nothing wrong today. Getting in his ear a little, pushing and shoving him off the ball, tackling him hard, holding him down when he's at the bottom of the pack, that's football. If he can't deal with it that's his problem, like it has been for many players over the years, and our job to try and exploit that problem (within the rules of course)

To suggest that we should treat him differently because it's indigenous round is just absurd

Hmm, I think if a player has a track record of being put off his game, you use it. He has; fair tactic.

Of course you do. This the AFL. Not Auskick

ps i'm agreeing with you

I know, I was just emphasising that its a no brainer

Brought my boy down for his first trip to the big city and first Carlton game. Some kind folk gave us level two medallion seating. We won really well. I had cash on it ($8 for under 39 pints too good to ignore). He sung the song. Walked on the ground. And got a donut after.

Pretty good day really.

Great stuff Heavs.

Wish I was there. Not sure next week's game will be quite as exciting.

Makes no sense. Walks played well doesn't that square the ledger for us?

I forgot to say I thought it was great that the crowd got into Henderson.
He was not visibly rattled by it but he did make a couple of pretty basic mistakes and dropped at least one sitter in the last.

I didn't see how the players reacted to him after the game but I hope they were coolly polite and no more. He did, after all, abandon them long before he left the club.

Agree, should of we just let him run around and be BOG all in the name of reconciliation?

I don't think that's what anyone wants

With this rapid improvement only one trouble. How do you clear the list cloggers at the end of the year. Actually a second. How are we going to get good draft picks.

PS Apologies to Army for the criticism of him earlier of this week. Great game.

Let that be a lesson to everyone. NO ONE beats Carlton at Etihad 13 times in a row...

Vitas Gueralitis says hello.

Not sure about the spelling but people really should start using their own material.

Is that what Vitas said to you...?

Did Henderson get much attention from the boys post game?

I think the list cloggers go. With a higher ladder position we'll just need to give away more for what we need...

It's just great to be a participant in modern footy. If Bolton achieves nothing else, we can thank him for bringing us up to speed on the current day game.

I'm just saying it's a bad round to be doing it from a public perspective; I doubt anyone said anything untoward.

Out he wanders on one of the prouder days he'll have in the AFL, and we try and knock him down several pegs.

Gibbs and Murphy are seemingly really enjoying it too. Bringing support to your keys players and the best out of them is a key facet of leadership; young man Bolton seems to have this in spades.

"Leadership is Culture; Culture is Leadership" - this is what his presentation was all about (that I saw earlier in the year).

Missed the game, but I'm pretty sure Sandy supports the Cats so there may have been some sarcasm involved.

His presser after the game was good too. Just says what you want to hear from a senior coach.

He's respectful. Doesn't get carried away with the result and remains grounded and aware that there's still a long road ahead.

Pros:

Effort and defensive pressure.
Goalkicking accuracy.
Senior players. White had a fantastic 2nd half. Kreuzer a fantastic last quarter. Same with Cripps.
Gibbs, Docherty, Curnow and Armfield.
Everitt's and Gorringe's intensity. Both played well. But I think we all recognise their talent-levels. It's been their willingness to compete that's been the issue.
Walker was better.

Cons:

Injuries.
Weitering's looked a little tentative since his injury against Essendon*.
For a very good kick, Lamb's been pretty wasteful the last few weeks.
