Let that be a lesson to everyone. NO ONE beats Carlton at Etihad 13 times in a row...

Wins over Collingwood and Port were good, strong solid wins against decent enough sides at least. We got our game together, used the ball well, handballs weren't finding grass as they did the previous two scratchy wins, and both those side's form after playing us validates that.

Sometimes you never underestimate the effect of "scratchy" wins, the like we had against Freo and Essendon**. They build more belief and confidence than most honourable losses.

Technically, he is signed for life. :P

We only used 73 interchanges.

Players typically need to be off for 120-150 seconds for rest, so it's difficult to get through the full compliment with only 2 spots available.

Got robbed of 4 goals today did Daisy

the tackle in the goal square that wasn't paid
Lamb's shank to him when he was on his own in goalsquare
the unselfish hball to Gorringe
everitt with his back to the play

and yes...I did it deliberately!!!

That is the best win we've had for years, and after the fiasco of the last few years, it is so good to have our club back. so very proud of the boys today. It's a pleasure to go to the footy again.

Do we have any long-standing hoodoos left?

Hawthorn?

Still hard to believe this is Carlton we are watching.
The change in 6 months under Bolton is just not possible. With hardly any influence from our prized draft picks so far, he has completely turned it around.
How lucky we are that the stars aligned and we got him. I want to petition Jeannie for a solid gold statue of Bolton at Ikon Park

GIBBS. Just GIBBS
BOG. Another 3 votes. Just chucked $100 on him at $101. I reckon he's on 10-12 votes already, if we can halve our games for the rest of the season, he's a massive chance for charlie. The way we are going we are a chance against anyone on our day. We'll need to be winning games for him to have a chance. We have Brisbane, St Kilda, St Kilda, Brisbane, Melbourne, Essendon* in which I think we'd be favourites (Melbourne iffy, they're unpredicable), then Collingwood, West coast home, Adelaide home, and Hawthorn that I think we're an outside chance. GWS away and Sydney away I can't see us winning, but who knows

Docherty, 2 votes. I get a weekly laugh now that we got him for Shaun Hampson. All Australian is his to lose at the moment. What a player.

White, special mention as one of my favourite whipping boys. Best game for the club that I can remember.

Rowe, again, special mention as I've been looking forward to the day we don't need him, but he is a new player under Bolton. I think this 'team defence' is making his job a lot simpler and he is thriving knowing his role and sticking to it. He is very valuable for the Gorilla forwards and he seems to be taking the first option and not playing outside his abilities.

Army, one of my favourites. Just 110% the whole game, incredible pace, energy and forward pressure. His disposal his improved out of sight and banging in running goals from 50 is what we would have hoped from Yarran, yet we're getting it from Steak knives.

And everyone else. Just bloody amazing. To win that, 2 men down, hard to remember a better win.

I thought Crippa had a bit of an off day in terms of decision making and disposal. Did a few funny things but even he is allowed an off day. Still had some brilliant moments.
