Weitering - Shoulder - 1 week
C.Curnow - Glandular Fever - TBD (3-4 weeks is McKay's current guess)
Cuningham - Hip - Test
White - Shin - Test
Sheehan - Hip - Test (back in full training for two weeks)
Phillips - Hamstring - 3 weeks
Silvagni - Calf - Test
Whiley - Calf - 2 weeks (was previously 1 week)
Boekhorst - Hamstring - Test (this was weird, spoke about him like he hadn't resumed in the VFL on the weekend)

No mention of McKay, Gallucci, JGM, Wood or Gorringe

Maybe he pre-recorded these earlier in the year.

Also Wood wasn't mentioned as being injured like Gorringe in Fraser's report, just that he only played a half.

So basically a 1 week calf injury is code for what exactly? Go back to the video tape, track or gym and spend the extra time with focussed training on an element of your game?

BV's anecdote the other day wasn't the first time this season that I've heard some of the calf injuries are supposedly bullshit. I think the truth is somewhere in between, but I'd prefer we were doing our rotating, extra sessions and injury prevention management more in the pre-season than the actual season, though I accept that first and second year players will struggle without periodic rest. That being said, it's not tough to manage them within VFL games and during the week so they aren't all rested in clumps.

Sydney, St Kilda, North Melbourne and Adelaide are masters of this, what have we done to play catch up? Melbourne picked up Dave Mission in an attempt to improve in this area (thanks to the AFL's cash injection).

It's in the order of the names that pop into their heads, spin the wheel to land on the total weeks out for and then move onto the next.

Easy to forget names when the list is as long as it is....

Good-ish news for @CarltonFC, Casboult has a crack at the top of his tibia. ACL intact, no surgery needed, will miss 6-8 weeks.
