What on earth would I do with it? I'd be paying money for a piece of plastic. Tell you what - if Carlton win by 39.5+ I'll buy a piece of Carlton plastic.

Agree with this - talk it up! But be authentic.

I think Mick was really inauthentic when he was rabbiting on about how he couldn't see us losing a game.
That was lame, really poor attempt to sell memberships, and people jumped on it straight away.

But if you are genuine in your passion and enthusiasm then the Carlton-hating media might snigger, but there will be an acceptance and appreciation.

I think other supporters and footy "journalists" genuinely respect Bolts' positivity.
Hopefully that translates into wins and respect on the field

You're a mug if you thought he was being serious

You can question the quality and consistency of some of those guys (and some left at different times), but I'm not sure we are anywhere near having replaced them. Jamo looks to be struggling.

The Tigers are also a better unit now.

So we are asking a team that (on paper) appears to be vastly inferior to recent sides to beat a team that has improved and all we have as a (possible) improvement is Bolton's influence.

So I don't expect to win but do expect 4/4 effort.

To be fair, when we had all of those players we were beating them by 15 goals.

Carlton by 7 points....which yes will be 7 more scoring shots!!!

You can see just by the handful of Nab games and last night this bloke knows how to coach a modern game of footy.
Players seemed to know the plan albeit at times struggled to execute it.
Boltons toughest task is yet to come and that is to teach them how to win.
I think there are quite a few players who accept losing to easily. They are not expected to win and don't know how to win.
We beat Richmond all over ground last night.
It you were to look at the stats we won nearly all of them.
There doesn't appear to be anyone who is going to take the game by the scruff of the neck and drive them home to win.
We were in a winning position but to me the players just accepted they were going to lose.
Not sure how Bolton is going to do it and if he does he will be a genius.
Sometimes you can have all the right process in place but if the players just accept the enviable that they will lose. Then he is flogging a dead horse.
Players need to know how to win and want to win
Good luck Bolts you are going to need it

Good point Sydney. I thought this too as I was listening to Murph in the post-game interview. Seemed a bit too pre-occupied with his own good form, smiling away. I though a Captain should be voicing more disappointment.

Yep!

Needs to focus on the team and the result: positives and negatives

We have two, Cripps and Weitering. Neither could, but Weitering tried to in only his first game, and Cripps was knackered in only his 24th game.

What I like from Bolton and the various online vids is that as well as showing a stronger direction for supporters, and more faith that this team is now in the right hands, it also makes Carlton an attractive proposition for players wanting to leave other clubs. This is a part of the modern game previous administrations wouldn't have considered.

Half agree with you but we dont bat deep enough in the midfield. Cripps and murphy were stuffed and we have not got a key forward. Tigers have a great forward line. Reiwoldt and Vickery can kick

Sat with a current board member on Thursday night.

Fair to say that BB has more than impressed the board with what he has done at the club and far exceeded their expectations so far. "A changed and much happier place".

Was pleasing to hear. The board member was gutted with the loss. Whereas I was expecting a lot worse...

However the positive vibes for BB wont last forever - a fairly unforgiving place is the board - they will need someone/something to blame if things fail to improve.

Glad Barker was kept within the club. The more good people associated with the club, educating our young list, the better.

I believe a lot of Carlton officials felt the same. Good.

A lot of our Carlton supporters felt the same after the game. Not good.

We need to get the gutted feel back and quickly!

We're 3-0 up early in the 2nd half. Nice to see Barker has had a positive influence on the Soceroos!

would love to read something about how this initiative went via our media at some stage.

if there is anyone that has proven how to succesfully organise and instill belief into a youthful team at the highest level it's ang.

here's to the connection remaining strong between us for years to come.
