He has had good days ???

Yes, quite a few good days, hence he attracted interest.

What's happened to Jaksch. Obviously been injured or sick as he hasn't played.

Yep that's right we were offered all these first and second round picks for him

FYI re KJ. I spent the season launch with him as TC's sponsor, and as I reported in my post on it,. KJ confirmed he wasn't injured but had been ill. Not only could he not train, but the illness (he asked not to disclose it but nothing too serious) also caused him to lose @5kgs, so thats put him back in his program 3-6 weeks.

Whilst there is probably good reasoning behind the club or reporting KJ's illness, the fact that it is being kept under wraps means people just assume he isn't good enough to play AFL

Thanks Aircav, let's hope he gets the bulk back on and we see him out there asap, I still have high hopes for him.

Cripps is a beast like no 24 touches in a half of football 16 contested and now with Kerridge next him those 2 are crazy good inside mids...

Future is bright.

New guys that have put their hand up for round 1

Kerridge
JW
Lamb
Phillips
Wright
Gorringe - Only because we don't have many other choices and he seems like he is getting better as each games goes on.

Young Blokes that will step up as starting 22 players

BB
Bucks
Graham

Anything is possible we lost last night but were better and remember we did that with

Dale playing like its his first game of AFL
Everitt all lost at sea very unlike him
Levi Unable to crack in

Important players that need to step up for us.

That shot for goal at 3/4 time was embarrassing.

Everitt is embarrassing too.

Thomas showed he is a massive bust by us. I can't see how his kicking will
somehow get better, wasn't he over that 18 months ago supposedly?

Everett

Thomas out of contract end of next season. Weitering out of contract end of next season. Give Weitering most of Daisy's 700k a year. Just did sos's job for him

Dalesies skills were no good at collingwood. Shocking kick for goal. Missed targets. Fluked the odd torp and speccy.
He was good the years the pies were good because he fitted his defensive role well. Always in the face of opponents applying defensive pressure.Always running hard to get defensive side when the opposition had the ball. Great second and third efforts.
But that was back when the forward press caught the rest of the league out.

These days he will be lucky to get a game at the club that finished last.

Every time he went to pick up the ball he ended up on hands and knees, which is never a good sign for a player of his age.

No forward Structure, kick and hope for the best. We are never going to win more than 1-2 games for the year if we continue to kick 7-8 Goals a game!!

Who can kick 3-4 goals a game for us to be competitive this year? The Answer is NONE, unless Walker can go back to his best days when he was a forward. Do not expect miracles from Casboult. He is improving but no where near a damaging forward.

The best thing about this final practice match is seeing Jones & Tutt out of the side and no where to be seen, which really gives me great hope about Bolts and his intention to keep the rubbish out of our rebuilding process.

Pros:
Kerridge
Cripps
Kreuzer
Weitering
Buckley
Wright
Simpson
E.Curnow (what's up with his kicking skills all of a sudden, good stuff)
Graham
Boekhorst
Docherty
Inside 50 count
21 scoring shots

Cons:
Transitional play regularly sloppy between the arcs, notably right on HB & HF
Speed of switches needs to improve on average
Everitt
Casboult not kicking snags
Team defence not really evident on Buddy due to lack of cohesion with high press
Some senior players are scared to kick inside 50 and scared to kick across the ground quickly for the switch despite being above average or elite kicks, not a great look
Lamb needs a lot of work on his acceleration and awareness to make an impact for us, much prefer Armfield and Wright

Its gunna take some time to eradicate the ugly old fashioned game style of a certain coach who will not be mentioned. One of the biggest problems under this coach was allowing/teaching players to just haphazardly bomb to the forward line. Bolton will change it up. Give him some time.

Also, Gorringe is a great upgrade on Jones, but he looks a bit lost at the moment.

Went last night great start to long weekend
Competitive better game style
A number of green or yellow shoots
Committed team
Better leadership from senior players

Pros

Phillips Lamb Weitering Kerridge Wright all are AFL footballers who will be able to make a contribution
Graham and Bokehurst really improving
Cripps exceptional
Kicked more than 4 goals in a game
Weitering
Room for improvement
Big guys need to take more marks Phillips Kreuz Casboult took a couple between them against a small Swans defence
Skill level second and fourth quarter 4-5 Swans goals came from our skill errors where passes hit swans on the chest
Defence it's going to be a long year if opposition forwards are allowed to be loose goal side after we press up

Cons

Loyal servants but Rowe and White are diabolical when they get the ball in their hands terrible decision makers hopefully Plowman and KJ take over from them
Thomas I don't think King is right what he suffered from last night in his disposal was trying to be too cute
Forward line functioned better but would be good to have one semi dominant forward

Daisy was the same player as he was in his first year at Carlton. Back then he had an excuse for those shocking kicks against the Pies.
What's his excuse now? Looks passed it. He's become a desperate player who gives 100% diving on the ball head first which is commendable but the result of that effort is zilch.
I couldn't pick him for round 1 based on the form I've seen thus far this season.

@#$%&! you Malthouse. Cant wait for Daisy and Bettsy to retire just so I don't think of that Mick Martyn guy and his 300 game record compliments of his past coach...oops I meant that egotistical flower has been Mick Malthouse who broke the coaching record and recruited one of his past players, a dud for $700K. Makes me sick to think Fisher retired on 99.

I was critical of Graham and his kicking in the recent game he played, despite being one of our better players amongst a pathetic bunch, but I think I witnessed his break out game last night, along with Boeky who I still have plenty of faith in.

I thought we were the better of the two teams out there. Turnovers killed us.

Rowe WTF is going on with him and his marking? He is suppose to get better.
Really disappointed in one of my favourites Everitt. He needs a kick up the arse.

I'd love to send a message to both Daisy and Everitt by dropping them for round 1.

Arte you saying end of 2017 is the end of Daisy's contract? I thought the 4th year of the contract was optional. He doesn't deserve the money we pay him.

I don't think I've ever seen Bondi so fired up..... ..... ever.

I do agree re: MM and will just have to grit our teeth for now but don't worry I think BB is awake to the players that are pretenders!

This is my 40th season supporting the mighty blues and this is the worst forward line I have seen during that time.

Midfield seems to have some depth particularly if Gibbs and Thomas get going. Defence is passable but fwd line is diabolical
