I'm not suggesting for 1 minute we will be a class team that will frighten the best but after last years injuries to quality players I really think a full preseason from

Walker
Gibbs
Kreuzer
Kerridge (New)
Graham
Thomas

Plus a fit Ciaran Byrne and Wright will give us something to enjoy early on.

Regards Cazzesman

Agreed Cazzesman, and a starting midfield of Simpson, Cripps, Gibbs, Murphy, Thomas is hardly chicken feed.

Reality is yet to hit but i have a good feeling that we will be considerably better than most expect

As is stands our coach is undefeated at AFL level.

Hopefully it stays that way.

I'm hoping that when the opportunity arises, Lamb , Sumner , Phillips , Plowman and Goerring show us real determination and commitment to the new Bagger game plan.
There's real excitment about the club, can't wait for Thursday nights game for all to begin .

B: Weitering Jamison Byrne
HB: Docherty Rowe Tuohy
Byrne or Tuohy to play a lockdown role. Weitering to play, have Rowe ahead of Jaksch at this stage. Doc to rotate in the midfield
C: Sumner Gibbs Simpson
Pace on the wings and Gibbs in the centre
HF: Walker Everitt C. Curnow
F: Thomas Casboult Wright
Wright and Thomas as small forwards and rotating mids
R: Kreuzer Cripps Murphy
Int: Phillips Kerridge E. Curnow Buckley
Emerg: Plowman Graham Boekhorst
Plow won't be in the side for Round 1. So White comes in as an emergency.

So who's the one remaining player that's still in the fat club?

Still reckon Armfield is a handy 'small' or defensive forward - and a better option at this stage than White, Clem, Tutt, Dick, or any of our newbies...
No place for him?

I too think Army should be in the 22 given particularly his versatility and the form he was showing before injury cut his season short - though admittedly he didn't have much competition for the small forward role last year once Tutt was played upfield, this year newbies Kerridge Wright, Lamb, Sumner and Gallucci all have small forward credentials. Army might be unlucky in that his injury might put him back in the ruck where on form pre-injury he would warrant a spot in the 22.

Now thinking:

FB: Weitering Jamison Byrne
HB: Tuohy Plowman Docherty
C: Buckley Murphy Simpson
HF: Boekhorst Everitt Armfield
FF: Wright Casboult Walker

RR: Kreuzer Cripps Gibbs

Int: Graham, Kerridge, Thomas, E.Curnow

EMG: Whiley Rowe Lamb

It's a shade short, but I think Cripps (stoppages) and Casboult (centre bounce) can share second ruck duties.

Nice team, Jimmae. Almost enough to get me excited.

I'd have Jaksch in for Casboult

Good team. I wouldn't have a vereran in Thomas on the bench while an amateur in Byrne starts on the ground though tbh..

It's more a case of the starting midfield, versus the midfield rotations.

Can just as easily have Byrne on the bench and Buckley at HB, or Thomas on HF, Armfield on the bench, etc.

There will be two ruckman. Probably Phillips as 1st and Kruez as second ruck/forward.

Casboult will only ruck in emergencies. Can't have our only forward option running around all over the shop and we can't afford to give him a rest on the bench with limited rotations.
