You would hope Murph's game will improve without the burden of captaincy. Probably a win for everybody.

SEN really getting stuck into Bolton this morning. Bartlett knocking him for not backing murphy in 100% and giving him the captaincy straight away. They went on to call Bolton the man with a thesaurus just gives all the right answers and he's better be able to coach after the way he speaks to the media... Jeez Bartlett is a F wit!

Who cares what KB thinks.
He's just trying to take the heat of Hardwick, who d be under pressure to deliver next year in the last year of his contract.

As for Murph, reckon after him havingto shoulder the burden of the last 2 underperforming years of MM, we should let him enjoy the last 3-4 years of his career and just concentrate on his footy.
Simmo is the perfect 'spiritual leader' for the next 1-2 years (ala Bob Murphy) while Cripps is groomed for the role.

yeah and then when the inevitable happens that Murphy retains the captaincy as he was always intended to, the station can strike a win for its bogan audience that Carlton bowed under the pressure rather than stand by its convictions...

Bolts says something in passing in response to an idle question and it immediately gets picked up by the mass media as being being an indictment of Murphy's ability as a captain. A guy who has had to toil through three years of suppressive leadership culture. Farg me!!

What KB initially used on an occasional basis as a ploy to get a bit of lively banter has now become his standard fare.

Just cheap, headline grabbing journalism to satisfy the masses on a no-news day. When it first started I actually thought SEN was a good station when you had an appetite for sport. Now its just formulaic, lazy and lowest common denominator content.

Even worse. KB at least admits he's only being cheeky when he has a go at us. Denham's supposedly a "serious reporter" and shows time and again that he's an asshat with NFI (his adoration of that piece of shit Hird is a whole other matter).

I'll give KB some credit, in interviews I've heard with Trigg he does his bit to encourage members to renew (I think he's even bought a membership himself). Despite his idiotic statements I think he understands the need for a strong CFC.

I've no problem with Bartlett trolling us as part of his show on SEN, most of the time we deserve it.


However he crosses the boundary when he lets his on air piss taking trolling, flow into areas where he is an AFL appointed judge such as Mark of the year and the Rising Star Award.
