Oh - I'm not a member...and Mark doesn't like non-members. He told me himself.

Yep, 1000% correct

Wont affect his employment status but could 1000% affect his ability to get anything done if he is at loggerheads with whatever platform the new ticket brings.

Clearly the CEO and board are on same page currently, you can only agree on the point you make.

Tell me Doc, why would Trigg hang around if we intend to go back to the "Carlton don't rebuild and the Pratt family has shitloads of cash" days?

Because he's driving it! Trigg isn't part of a faction. Best to leave him out of discussions.

You're not making any sense, what you're effectively saying is Trigg is driving the board.

It's clear that the board and Trigg are on the same page, so far an excellent appointment..... By the board!!!

A board that is near factionless, but I guess that's why we have a rebel ticket in the deep dark shadows......who want to hang onto Jeanie and probably bear.

They could bring out Dick in a weekend at berrnies style just for the presser!!!

Power.....must be hurting them deeply it's being stripped away

Could be spot on. Those that normally hear whispers are clutching at straws. Myself included. Having said that - a kite flying exercise isn't necessarily a bad idea. Shit - if I were LoGiudice I'd conduct my own fake challenge kite flying exercise.

Does the Judge have a political advisor, happy to nominate you TKI.

I nominate Eli Gold

I nominate Dennis Denuto

It's clear Trigg and the board are not on the same page.

One wants inclusiveness, the other wants exclusiveness.

You sure about that?

It's ebbed and flowed for years. I've been equally as unimpressed when the Pratts had power as I have been with the Mathiesons now in 'control'.

You're advocating one is better than the other. I'm saying there are bodies on there that haven't done much since 2007 and they haven't operated as a normal board should. I couldn't give a stuff what faction they belong to.

The CEO is driving the rebuild. As a CEO should. He's the only one being paid to do it.

Teaguey - this is hard work. Let's have a beer and discuss.

Not sure why you think it's hard work when the Gooch was the compromise president between the 2 factions.

But I'd love to have a yarn over a beer with you, especially in regards to your ideas around customer engagement and the lapsed members. I'm sure there's plenty of positive stuff forums like this can do to help.

I have 1 simple expectation. If there is a challenge then the challenging group need to release somewhat detailed information on how they propose to guide this club into the future. I won't base my vote on a 'they have to be better than what we've got' premise. I need proof they'll be better, or at least a reason to believe they'll be better.

Fair enough. I think there's some critical questions required from both sides. It's probably a good time for some people to go back and read this to get an idea of what the LoGiudice-led Mathieson mob are proposing from a club strategic sense. Nice motherhood statements though they may be.

http://www.carltonfc.com.au/staticfile/ ... 7_20524858

Then - maybe see this from Tom Elliott back in May.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victor ... 1cb601e035

And then it's probably a fair enough question to ask the rebel alliance whether the current Pratt decision makers withheld monies at a time when the club desperately needed it - in a strategic (though underhanded) bid to make the current President look bad in declaring another big financial loss. If so, they'll be looking for votes in alderaan places and will have little chance of succeeding.

What the club needs at the start of a rebuild is zero factions. Unfortunately, that's not what we're going to get. Historically - Carlton tears itself apart from the inside first and then attempts a rebuild of sorts.

A lot of water to go under the bridge yet I sense.

Pretty sure the only board member on the INC is the President?

Bolton kicked off the preseason by preaching the need for unity.

Poor bastard.

http://m.carltonfc.com.au/club/board

He's on the Finance, Audit & Risk sub-committee and the Nominations & Remuneration sub-committee

Hehe...Luke's a good bloke. Can't always commit his time to the CFC but managed to find a new board member that can. I'd make Kate President tomorrow and tell the testosterone-driven to calm the @#$%&! down and put the club first for a change.
