Holman? Seriously? Perhaps I have no idea but I thought there was a lot to work with there. Hope he gets rookied.

100% agree - seemed to at least care - had a go.

Thought the same.

The cynic in me just thinks Sos is delisting all of Rogers' recruits out of spite.

Watch out Crippa - one false move and you're cooked!

Regarding Holman delisting, very strange decision. I can't quite understand this one.

Holman is not talented enough and would not make any afl list, plenty of ticker yes but does not cut it. The rest are in the same boat. Bye bye!!Lets move on.

Our philosophies at the club have changed, and carrying Holman and these types will no longer cut it. It will happen to white and Armfield next year, and others the year after.

Under SR and the previous regime, Holman and Walsh would've got another chance, and White and Armfield would have been signed in season and not at the end of the trade period.

You can almost guarantee White, Armfield, Jones and Tutt will be gone end of next year.

A few of them would have been gone this year, unfortunately some contracts [REDACTED] that up!

I am surprised Walsh was moved on ... seemed to have a bit of potential.

You can almost guarantee another dozen will be cut end of next year: armfield, gowers, dvr, smith, foster, white, dick, tutt, jones, wood, whiley, Rowe. I would be surprised if any of those players were on our list come 2017. It's a rebuild guys. Means cleaning out the deadwood and starting again. Don't get annoyed at SOS for delisting some guy who tried hard but wasn't afl standard. Be thankful he's helping make the hard decisions that need to be made to turn this mess around.

SOS needs to work harder during the trading period, he left us a couple of picks short in the top 30, which would make those delistees easier to replace.

Holman may or may not be AFL standard, but after two years was tracking okay. Kicked well, showed some evasive skills, had some grunt. It is more about dreadful decisions last year. I like Tutt's endeavour but he is not AFL standard, and Jones couldn't get a game when we had about 24 fit players. Walsh is one of many guys who has great attitude and who you would love to succeed but he doesn't have enough talent unfortunately. I'd like to see Holman and Giles rookied - but maybe that is sentiment. Can anyone tell me deifnitively how many we have on our list and how many is the maximum?

(Not including our new American Cat B rookie) We currently have 32 senior players and 4 rookies on our list, and there is a maximum of 44 players total, ie we need to find 8 players.

4 first round picks, plus SOSOS, then we need 3 more.
My guess is these will be 3 rookie picks.

Don't have a problem with those delistings.

Just a question though, for those who might know. How much cap space have we relieved?

Think about it?
Judd - $500k
Warnock - $400k
Carrazzo - $300k
Hendo - $300k???
Menzel - $300k?
Yarran - $400k

There would have to be at least $2million plus freed up????

EDIT - and with that, can we perhaps fast track both Daisy's and Liam Jones's contracts next year and piss them off sooner rather than later?

Giddy up then to land a FA big fish next year. I recall Carlton doing lots of player turnover and recycling between about 89 through 92, which were also very lean but short years.

Would I be right in saying Holman had a better season this year than any of the GWS 4 ?
