Given the club have taken a kicking (deservedly) for their ineptitude over the last 15 years, it's only fair to say they appear to have handled these latest coaching appointments with a refreshing professionalism - doesn't mean success will automatically follow but it's nice to feel like we might be finally acting like an AFL club and not a VFL one. Very interested to see how the trade period works out.

Im sure Brad Green is a great guy and possibly a decent coach but the fact that he wasn't reappointed speaks volumes about his ability to develop young players.

Green and Bolts are long time mates from the Tassy days - families very close.

There's goto be a reason why a lot of our boys haven't come on/the wrong things seem to constantly occur.

Really loving the clean out and here's to a bright new future!

Bolts also doesn't want to be seen as a job for mates kind of guy.

Great to see Barks stick around in a new role.

Why not? He clearly made an impact on the playing group in his brief time as coach and they obviously like him.

Baker handled a very awkward and delicate situation well, this year Helping out the club through a troubled phase.
As an assistant and liaison Barker will be
invaluable to Bolton , overall exciting new coaching panel and final piece Northern Blues coach coming soon.
Totally refreshed group witha strong leader theres's only one way , up and onwards Baggers .
Ciao

We are in a state of consolidation now that we have practically cleaned out the old administration and football dept, and now commencing the list re-build. Cannot say categorically the board are stable, although it has been quiet on that front.

Good to hear we haven't gone for the 'big names' for the coaching panel.

Yep, they've all got 12 months grace from me. I fully expect to be bottom 3 next year, 2017 is the year where we really start to see growth on and off field.

Hopefully, by the end of 2017 we see the board reduced again to 6-7 candidates max.

The rebuild of Carlton has taken another major step, with Essendon** football boss Neil Craig quitting the Bombers to oversee Brendon Bolton's revamped coaching team at Princes Park.
In what has emerged as a virtual clean-out of assistant coaching positions, only John Barker and Matthew Capuano have survived the Blues' coaching facelift, with Barker returning from leave to accept a role as Bolton's stoppage coach.

The new Carlton assistants are Tim Clarke (midfield), Dale Amos (backline) and Shane Watson, who will oversee the Carlton forwards.
They make up the youngest team of assistant coaches in the AFL and will work under the guidance of former Adelaide coach Craig, who has been appointed the club's director of coaching development and performance.

Shane Watson played with the Bullants some time ago....

Some good names back there - the Mick Stinear debate can start again.

Who's from Pipers Brook?

Bolton? On the day they interviewed his Dad who was in PB. You think he was from Hillwood?

Bolton's got his work cut out - the Premiership betting market for 2016 is out and we're the rank outsiders at $251.
