So this year like every other I filled out the online members survey.
I complained, like every year, about the availability of good seats for AFL Club Support members. There are 14 of us who cannot get seats together. Very frustrating.
Today got a call back from the club. Spoke directly about my feedback and offered assistance and options.
Never ever received a response before.
Hallelujah.

Same, I had a phone call from the membership department about my complaint regarding opposition supporters invading our members only area. Was told the club will employ staff to man these areas next year.

I have decided to keep reserved seats for our home games but will downgrade to general admission for the away matches. It is about $100 cheaper that way and the away reserved seats are not that great anyway.
It is good that the club read the surveys that we filled out and have acted upon our concerns.
Maybe things are starting to turn around.

A nice summary of the changes and proposed changes to Captains club next year.

http://membership.carltonfc.com.au/captains

I like the idea of the Crest room being opened. We sit directly in front of it, and it would be very handy pre, post and during match.

I like the idea of being able to pick your own seat.

That's really well done. Great work by the club.

Saw the 18-25 member night and thought "Oh great! Finally!".....then realised I'm way too old these days. :(

Got my 2016 renewal letter yesterday.
I pay by direct debit and this year the money will be debited from October 15th, it seems that the payments are spread out over 12 months instead of 10.
Today I got the phone call. Wanting me to buy a $200 raffle ticket, honestly can they stop annoying us.

Just a heads up for Country/Interstate members, my renewal form that I received yesterday had been changed to General Admission Home membership for 2016 from Country Membership this year as it stated that I lived within 120kms of Melbourne CBD.

Bendigo where I live is over 140kms from Melbourne CBD so I called and spoke to a membership staff member who was able to confirm that I was still eligible for Country Membership and the ineligible statement on the form was incorrect.

The bit about opposition supporters coming into the CC area is basically why I gave up my CC membership (and let's be honest there's been no chance of us making the GF). I'm glad they're finally doing something about it although I'll still be sticking with my GA home and away for 2016.

WTF, rant coming.

Not sure about other membership packages but mine has jumped $100 for 2016.

Usually get a family members general admission and then upgrade to reserve "premium" seating for whatever game the family can get along to. With kids sports all weekend (and early starts) its hard to get to games so I'm happy to spend that extra $90-120 a game for reserved seats that we can go to cause that's extra money to the club.

2013 this was $380 or 390
2014 this was $400
2015 this was $415

2016 is now $515, approx 24% jump up in price for what?? Not a family club at Carlton.

Might as well just keep the $515 in my pocket and buy cheaper reserved seats for the games I can attend.

Anybody else notice a major increase in price on their membership packages?

I am a home and away members reserve member.
This year I paid $630 and next year it is $645.
