I think he's a player who should have been a part of the rebuild and the decision to cut him loose is poor, but what do i know.

Very sad to see a person and player of his calibre leave the club.

Hope he lands and finds success at a much better club than ours (Wouldn't be hard as long as he avoids Essendon**** or Qld). He deserves it after being at Brisbane and Carlton.

Did I miss something?

have you not read one post of Em's on this topic since April? I see no reason to doubt what she says on the real cause for him leaving the club.

The noise from the club this morning tells another picture... the seem pissed off with his decision.

Sorry, I don't feel I owe him my thanks.

Who's to say the decision not to play was his? Doesn't sound like the club's offered him much choice in anything this year.

I was talking about his insipid play through the year.

Geelong's first rounder may be enough to help us secure a father-son or Aish

Well of course they would be open and honest with fans about telling Hendo to find a trade in April, wouldn't they? That would be a great look.

It is refreshing that a player who wants to leave is honest about that.
If he doesn't want to stay, I don't really want him.

However, we could probably have done more to keep him - i.e. played him at CHB where he is one of the best going around rather than at CHF where he flounders.

Once again, I am not confident that we will be able to negotiate a 1st round pick for him. I suspect Geelong's first round pick and then some would be reserved for Dangerfield so would need to be a multi-deal. And unfortunately, his form this year hasn't warranted a 1st round pick.

(Is Carlisle a free agent?)

I thought Dangerfield is a free agent so no trade is needed for him

Bell might get Aish done, or a large part of.

a three way...Carlise to us, Hendo to Cats, Geelong trash to Essendon**

Love a 3 way....especially one that sees the bummers cop it up the tail pipe.

Over to you SOS.
Time to earn your keep.
Your performance over the next 4 months could be more important than what you did on the field...

Then why now accuse him of not wanting to play for the jumper?

One of my favourites but Im a Carlton man so if he isn't interested in playing for us anymore see you later - make sure we get the best deal possible and he should be telling Geelong that they need to do the right thing in a trade he owes us that much

Disappointed he wasn't professional enough to play the next 3 games and club have done it right if he openly has been saying he wants a trade or has been acting like that so it is obvious to all

One salutary caution though - got a bit of a Hamill feel to it - going somewhere better supposedly but ended up playing less finals and less games for Aints - hopefully in the longer term this will be the case with him

Geelong with Dangerfield hendo and selwood are trying to do a Swans type thing like tippet and Franklin which might like the swans blow up in their face

Thought you did us proud at Carlton Hendo BUT now are just another opposition player

That would be a great question to ask the club. Go for it.

If a Hendo doesn't play out the season and no fans are there to see it, does anyone give a shit?
