Murphy got a couple of soft frees so they booed him from that point. Seemed to fire him up.

Went to both games. Have always loved playing Collingwood at MCG, going early watched the reserves then the seniors. Fond memories. Until today, we are sinking lower and lower

My observations

Northern Blues jumper sucks. Play in Carlton jumper and become Carlton in 2016.
Nothing to really get excited about in NB's. Bailey Rice did a couple of things but who knows.
Rest were pathetic. Nothing pushing for a spot. Jaksch as a forward in last qtr looked okay
Yarran disinterested. Menzel skilful in space, lacks true football nouse under pressure.

Cripps just keeps working. Never gives up. Great attitude for AFL
How can we select two players like BB & Smith who are nowhere near fit for AFL. Barker had to hide them in last half in pockets. Wouldn't get on most lists with those fitness levels.
Kruezer tries as does Simpson & Docherty.
Credit to Murphy as he works his backside off
Why is White on the ball/tagging? Makes no sense
Have to be the worst kicking side I have seen. On top of that we kick backwards all the time. How about trying to take the game on?
Bell would be a star if he could kick or had some awareness
Holman showed a bit as did Whiley when he came on.
Collingwood have a lot more talent but are playing just as badly. Gameplan is ordinary

Trying to look for positives but reality is we are so far off being a good side it is scary.

Gee what has happened to Menzel ? He was our line shining light two years ago. He and Yazz have fallen off the face of the Earth. Hopefully in Menzel's case it's due to injury. With
Yazz, he's just a lazy guy who disgraces the jumper.

Yarran was very good in the first quarter and went misisng as the game went on. Spent a lot of time just walking.

Menzel looked good in space. When fed the ball looked a million dollars. No doubting his skills but when he had to work or was under pressure he was very poor. Came off the ground more than others. His tank is a real concern.

Cripps:
18 contested possessions; 11 clearances.
Clearly the best player on ground.

Every key aspect required of a top afl footballer, playing his position
Elite decision maker
Elite disposal
Tackles for his size
Elite run and carry.
Did you see all the 1% when he went forward
And he is doing all this with no support at age 32. Deserves an all Australian Guernsey

Elite disposal and decision maker.

Elite decision maker,,14 seasons and he still hasn't developed a right side, yet still calls for the ball when his only way out of a situation is on his right side.

Elite disposal, he is almost Carrazzoesque in his ability to miss targets at critical moments, the draw against Essendon** springs to mind, and his goal kicking is deplorable.

His run and carry was good, but isn't anymore and when he was at his peak about 4 years ago, it may have been touching elite, barely.

But if you rate Simpson elite now you are as deluded and your standards are very low.

Now do something constructive with your evening and turn it to FoxFooty 504 and bring the Brisbsne Lions home.

You are deluded.

Already elite at 20 (besides his goalkicking efforts0.
Seriously, if he doesn't win the Rising Star award, there's something wrong.

Very good player, heart and soul type and a true leader. IMO not elite.

Just back from the game. First three quarters shocking. Like a D grade soccer match played with an oblong ball. Back and forth in the defensive fifty until we stuffed it up and did a hurried kick to no-one in particular. Never take the long or brave option. In the last qtr when we actually kicked it into our fwd line we did okay. Also lots of corralling like basketball guards, but not enough tackling.

Murphy excellent again and really leading from the front. also booing occurred a few times after he got a soft free, just dumb C'wd supporters who disliked him getting any frees.
Cripps terrific
Big K very good, but seems to have no spring so struggles when jumping for knockouts

Everitt has great pace and is a handy utility and can kick

Bell has a shot every time he gets in inside 50 and kicks it blindly when outside 50. I have rarely seen such a tunnel visioned player.

If Same Rowe is keeping KJ out of the side, KJ must be really struggling.

Wood is a trier but a liability when forward. If Jones gave anything as a fwd we cd use Levi more in the ruck. Levi doesn't get to enough contest and we don't move the ball quickly to the fwds.

Simmo very good again, Jammo looks like a player past his best and Walker had a shocker until the last qtr.

Can't believe people are bagging Smith. That was about his third full game. He made a bad error in the last, but he has pace skill and toughness and courage. Give him a few pre-seasons and he will be a handy pick 60. Whiley was good when he came on, has good hands and is tough. Holman looks willing and shows some skill. BB good again and courageous, can kick and looking more comfortable at this level. Needs a pre season in the gym and on the road.

Hendo worked hard but is a battling fwd and a very good chb. White tries hard but out of his depth in the middle.

Some diabolical errors by both sides. We need half a dozen stars. So a fair wait for that.

I miss the good old days where we would just travel to SA and WA and raid the best talent if this occurred :smoking:

Truly hard to watch that display.

I don't get it. Go to the official site and watch the video's. Buckley's got his own slot, all fun and games. Jamo taking one handed speckys prancing around, all fun and games. Video of team "training" for Collingwood, smiling, laughing, having a jolly old time.

Does anyone at the club give a toss anymore? We are a rabble and our official website celebrates with comedy pieces and skits?

Let me guess, this is some type of reverse psychology trick, where your club stinks and your on the bottom of the ladder, but you spend the entire time laughing it up which reverses your fortunes and you magically start winning premierships?

Wish we had of done this 15 years ago ...

I don't want jocularity, nor reminisces of bygone times.
We want #17

48,000 souls.

In the 80's & 90's it was like Hillsborough trying to get into the ground at 12.30pm for CAR V COL.

Things are in a downward spiral, and that's a fact the AFL can't deny.

Yes, that was when the booing started. He got a free for in the back and the crowd thought it should have been holding the ball.
