either way, aish has looked ordinary the two games of his i've seen this year. kinda like a taller version of Sugar Kane Lucas.

Assuming we don't finish last, I'd use Carlisle as a bargaining chip to get Aish for next to nothing.

Tell Brisbane and Gold Coast that we won't be used by Essendon* as leverage for Carlisle, and as such he'll walk into the PSD, and either:

a) Gold Coast let Brisbane pay Dixon way too much/walk for reasonable compensation knowing they'd basically get Carlisle for free anyway.
b) Brisbane miss out on Dixon and get Carlisle instead in the PSD.

Docherty struggled with injury at Lions. Didn't have any sort of pre season.

Aish will be a good player. Just too talented. Like Polec doesn't want to be there and is going through the motions.

For me it's what we have to give up to get him. I would be thinking around pick 20 and maybe some steak knives. There could still be some good players like an Ah Chee, Crocker or even Rice.

I have been told we haven't spoken with Carlisle and I would be surprised if we do. Essendon* refuse to deal with us anyway plus who knows what will happen with WADA.

I trust SOS will do the right thing and I believe we will have about 7-8 changes at years end.

I would be happy with 3-4 picks inside top 25 and a couple of others. Just important that we nail these picks. A top 2 pick for Schache/Weitering would be advantagous as well.

We may well be his first choice but there are two major issues. WADA and the fact that Essendon* won't deal with us. I'm also convinced we aren't interested.

Yes WADA. That and the fact that he is a @#$%&! drug cheat turns me off the most.

However, seeing as though he is not contracted and we could get him via the PSD considering our ladder position, then doesn't matter who Essendon* want to deal with.

One problem is that we are recruiting a guy who is doing to Brisbane what Eddie, Jeffy (and now it appears Hendo and Yarran) did to us.

Did any of the Hawks targets from other clubs play shit, safe footy before they left?
