I remember the ridicule we received for selecting Cripps. (Not to mention the venom on this site). I wouldn't be calling Boekhorst a wasted pick yet.

One favourite for the Rising Star Award in the 20 years of its existence, I wouldn't get too carried away with our recruiting just yet.

Sounds like an exciting line up! :)

Makes sense with all the injuries and injury clouds that we'd look at Walsh. He's very professional in his preparation, and has been since before he came to the club. Hopefully he doesn't try and bulk up further and instead works on how he covers ground in games.

Tested well for agility and has a decent first step, just needs to get to a more comfortable playing weight and build so he can motor around the ground a bit better. Some sharpening of his skills wouldn't hurt either.

waste of a pick, maybe not
but a waste of a first rounder, definitely

Agree. I remember some questioning but not the venom. Other people had different opinions about who we should of picked but Cripps was always an option. BB was never considered by anyone and it was just another Rogers "speculative" pick.

Carlton has placed Bryce Gibbs on the long-term injury list and upgraded Brad Walsh from the rookie list as his replacement.

IIRC Ellard debuted in his home state at subi and did very well.

All the best to Walsh.

Edit: just checked the Blueseum and yep Ellard did debut at subi

Fantastic another 1st gamer. He may or may not make it. We wish them the very best.

Would love to see Foster step up to the plate next.

Steady as she goes.
