If the draft is shallow...... I wonder whether the top 3-4 are really all that good. Afterall, they are playing against the very same players that are not rated highly. Surely this is relevant. Its along the same line of thinking that the big bodied juniors look much better than they are ,due to their size-not talent

..don't think krooz is chasing any big offers outside, or a big contract from us either.. ..has twice knocked back million dollar p.a offers from gws, and some other very big offers from Melbourne clubs.. ..do agree that with his strong comeback in regards to running and jumping (still rusty but getting better 'touch' wise) that he'd be able to snag us something decent.. ..but at 25 and looking to be over his issues he'd be about to hit his prime.. ..Leuey would be a good ruck for us but he's arguably more injury prone, considering their games played and him having an extra year in the system..

....but, if you wanted a strong ruck combo, the two of them playing a 50/50 ruck load split would be impressive.. ..and you'd be able to rest them and manage their games over the season as well without losing much on field when one takes a week off..

..wood is back up..

Re-sign him long term ?

Trade him this year for a #10-20 pick ?

Let him walk via FA next year and get another top 10 compensation pick ?

Im up for trading Yazz, but is it worth it in a supposedly weak draft this year?

..wasted in the back line, should be made to play six weeks as an onballer, see if he can cut it in the middle.. ....if he can't, try for a good deal and take it.. ..less icing, more cake..

Yaz is carrying an ankle injury that hasnt rehabbed properly and he's gained a few kgs, too. Should be given a spell to get it right.

Look at the difference he has made to the side since returning-why would you trade him?
The players I would offer in preference order
Jamison, walker, casboult, gibbs

Besides Gibbs who's in the first year of a 5 year deal, what would you expect to get for the other three?

Casboult a club could pay overs pick 15-20
Gibbs - pick 8-12
Jamison and Walker are too old to be part of the future. I would package them up with Casboult to get a top 15 pick or even say our 3rd rounder and Walker for a pick around 20

My one caveat on all this is the recruiters need to know who they are going to get. So for mine if one of those deals to snag Harrison Mackay at pick 15-20 I would jump at it. If there is not the quality in the draft that we require, then forget it

..doesn't matter who they are, very very few established players are worth a top three pick.. ....and I'm a big fan of the krooz..

Disagree, but I'll rephrase the question: what would you give up to get Sandilands, Goldstein, NicNat, Mumford or Stefan Martin at age 25?

B&F Leaderboard IMO..

Gives you an idea of our list. Guys like Jamo, Walker and Carrazzo need to be edged out. Their time has passed.

1. Murphy
2. Tuohy
3. Docherty
4. Cripps
5. Everitt
6. Simpson
7. Bell
8. Rowe
9. Curnow
10. Henderson

..considering what we gave up for Judd.... ..and none of those players are close to his consistent game winning ability.. ..not a top three pick for those mentioned, no..

..Stefan martin Jimmie?, c'mon..

..you only give up a top three pick for a proven, reliable and consistent champion.. ..and even then it's chancery, cos you have to be crap to have a top three pick in the first place, so by the time you are challenging your bought player may not be at their peak level.. ..judd, Gazza, they are exceptions..

90% disagree on this one.

How many games have Jamo and Walks played this year btw? Any chance of that being a contributing factor at all?

Ablett was not a trade; Judd was 3, 20 & Kennedy.
